Hey don't sweat it. You do what you think is best, you're the parent no one else on here. The only car seat I have for my daughter is an infant seat right now because I can't afford the bigger seat until next week. We haven't taken her in the car at all because of that. But I just wanted to point out we all do things differently. Maybe some will view me as a bad mother because I can't afford the larger seat. But it's really none of their business. I'm doing what I think is best by not taking her in the car right now just like you are doing what you think is best.

Who cares what some insignificant loser says? She doesn't wanna be a supportive fellow mom then she can bounce back to some other mom app. Athena has been front facing since she was one. She met the weight, height and age requirement for colorado. So anyones opinion doesnt mean shit. And there are plenty of moms in this world who have had a small car and put their strollers in the back. Haven't read any reports on their kids dying.

I am not the kind of person to ask anyone to help me to get anything for my son. I got money and I go on my budget. Whatever I can afford I get it. When you’re a lower class like myself can’t afford a good car seat for almost $400 dollars that’s crazy talk.

@curious.george, ok and my boyfriend and his friend told me to front face my son last year in OCTOBER and I told them no that he was way to young! For his car seat his weight is past the requirements for rear facing and that’s all I’m going to say. I just changed his car seat to front facing last month.

So what my boyfriend and i were wrong for putting it in the back seat but we had no other option at the time being.

We didn’t have the money to spend on that kind of car seat. We got what is cheap and around our budget. My nephew is 6year old and he isn’t in no booster seat and I don’t go around telling my sister what to do or what not to do, because I know, she is his mother and she know what is best for him. Plus, she will tell anyone who say anything to her where to put it.

My son started front facing a week before he turned 1. And I took the car seat & him by a program they offer about carseats & they said he was fine. Some mom's offer advice the wrong way. Don't let it bring you down.!

My son already maxes out of his car seat and the one we buy only goes front facing, because it has three hooks. One in the middle and two on the side. He’s already growing into fast.

I am right back there with him. It’s not like he’s back there alone. I see so many people doing it and there’s people who wouldn’t put their children in a car seat. Even people will ride a motorcycles with a baby. If you see what I see where I live you won’t be liking any of them. Everyone raise their children different. It seem wrong for another’s, it seem right for us. We know our children better then anyone else does.

I'm not trying to start anything or be rude either. I work for a medical examiner whose specialty is pediatrics. The infant skeleton is different than the adult skeleton. Their necks in particular are very fragile (that's why you need to support their heads when you pick them up and hold them, and why shaking a baby is so dangerous and can kill them - I'm sure you all know this already). Their neck bones do not mature until later. Having them rear facing provides better protection to their immature necks. This has been scientifically proven (I can provide links if you are interested). Do some research for yourself if you don't want to believe me. It's safer. My daughter is 3 and still rear facing, and she will remain RF until she maxes out her seat requirements. Again, Im not trying to be rude, I just want your kids to be safe.

Yes. If I was doing something bad a cop will pull us over yesterday for having him front facing and the cop look us and he was beside us and didn’t do anything. To me, I wasn’t do anything against the law, and people already think he’s 1year. He can pass it off easily.

I was reading the book and it clearly says over 20pounds and 30in and is 1year old can start front facing. He’s over the 20pounds and he’s already 30in, and he’s going to be 1year next month, so I don’t see any problem with it. My sister and my whole family did the same thing and their children are fine. He got too big for his another car seat and it was already in the red zone, it was time to which it up and he been front facing for a few months now and he’s happy where he is.
