What causes gestational diabetes? ... if I spelled it correctly. I was telling my mom how thirsty I felt today and she says oh you gotta make sure you don’t have that because that’s a sign... 😩 now I’m feeling paranoid.
^ what everyone else said. My doctor told me it’s really from the placenta which is the hormones. Nothing to do with you or the baby. But your so early, unless you had it in your last pregnancy they won’t test you for awhile.
I wouldnt feel too worried hun! Eating healthy and exercising could help alot and hopefully make it so you don't have to take medicine, i bought a test so i can check my blood sugar, either spend a few on those or talk to your doctor but i wouldnt get paranoid just cause your thirsty, you are supposed to be drinking alot!
Gestational diabetes is caused from a buildup of hormones and your body not being able to make enough insulin to handle the hormones, which causes your sugar levels to rise. Being extra thirsty during pregnancy is pretty normal though because your body is pumping so much more blood then you are used to. Typically gestational diabetes doesn’t happen until farther along.
