I waited 6 weeks. The nurse I had for my after birth care drilled it into me that even if the outside incision was healed, the inside might not be and there was no need to rush and rupture my incision. Not to mention, a cesarean is major surgery and your insides are still at increased risk of infection even if you didn’t give birth naturally. When we finally had sex, It didn’t hurt, but I did bleed a bit.
