@mimixtmn actually it was rude and critical. And it's easy for you to tell her how "dangerous" the situation was when you weren't there. I'm sure you do things on a regular basis that you're so glad after the fact that no one was there to see it. We're human. It's a cute picture. And I think you made a big deal out of nothing because you wanted to put your nose where it doesn't belong. All moms do is judge each other. Fuck. Why can't we just trust that we're not out here trying to harm our children and that we're actually keeping an eye on them and not leaving them on their own in dangerous situations.
@maddoxsmama aww thanks anyway mama! The ones they sell in store are 20lbs+ and hes about 19 now so ill cave and buy one! My parents finslly opened up the cottage!
@lii94, thank you!
I’m not sure it was given to me by my cousin.
@maddoxsmama you do you. If you see it as safe to not put a vest in a boat that isnt moving, 100% your choice. Hell my parents slapped life jackets on me the sexond i could crawl cause i was obssed with water but until then tjey csrried me IN THE WATER ! Omg right? With NO life jacket!! 😲😲😲 fkn chill mamas
Live and let live
The vest in the second, where did you get it?! Lol ive been looking for a baby life jacket and cannot find any!
Well ppl drive an plow ppl walking on the streets.. Ppl walk into movie theatres and kill ppl.. Ppl get hit crossing the road properly. I get what you saying @maddoxsmama you took a quick picture without a life jacket for a second on a dock boat, why couldn't ppl just say aww cute pic with out punting out he isn't wearing a life jacket. Like I'm sure you wouldn't put your child endanger. Moms on her are like the photo police I swear. It's a picture and yes I take pics of my daughter in the grocery cart 🛒 without a belt and the lower pull ones and it's just for to capture the picture not to drag her around the store in it shopping. Lighten up ppl. And if one mother says it out of concern but then when other moms start posting the same comments it comes across as saying that the person is being irresponsible.
@mimixtmn I'm not the only one that feels the way I feel. My point is don't worry about other kids saftey. That's their moms jobs. You have your kids. Let us admire how cute they are and not tell you how to take care of them. That's all.
@maddoxsmama, yes your baby your rules which again is why I said to each their own and you decided to make a whole new post about it lol
@mommy1991, I’m sorry that only you & the op saw it in a bad way lol cause nothing I said was in any way judgemental or critical so there is no way to interpret it that way unless you want to cry that your being judged. For fs sake I said to each their own which right there goes show I am saying different ppl have different opinions and that’s ok.
@messybunmom, 🤷🏼♀️ we have a cottage in a private cove. No boats even around. My child was 100% safe.
@mimixtmn girl I read the comments. What you said was recieved in a bad way. Even if it's not how you meant to come off. And no it's not the same at all because the boat wasn't going anywhere and she had planned to put a life jacket on when the picture was done being taken. Which you see in the next picture. Her baby was not in danger and you're taking things out of context. Let it go.
No where did any of us say you were a bad mom. Lol
We are stating that it’s always best to be safe. Didn’t see your other pic so I’m going off this post.
What point of my other comment do you not understand that JUST because you were docked doesn’t mean other drivers of boats pay attention?
@maddoxsmama, docked boats get in accidents ALL the time
Forgot to mention, there was a death which was a friend of mines nephew. You just never know. Always be safe.
@messybunmom, once again..we were docked. Not moving. Also, if you saw my other post he WAS wearing a lifejacket. I took a quick photo and then he had it on. Guess that makes me a bad mom 😂😂
Safety should’ve your first priority. There was an accident a few days ago at a local lake involving two boats. They crashed into each other. Just because you’re in 3 ft of water and your dad was holding your baby doesn’t mean that other drivers of boats pay attention. Accidents happen no matter where you’re at.
Better safe than sorry imo.🤷🏻♀️
@maddoxsmama, you don’t need to cuss at me. I wasn’t rude. I was just stating the law where I live.
You were comparing what you would do to what she did. That's being critical. Telling her what to do with her baby is rude. My point is look at the picture and enjoy it. If there was real danger in the moment trust that his MOTHER would make the right choices.
@mommy1991, thank you!! My child was not in danger AT ALL.
@mommy1991, you clearly did not read my original comments as my comment didn’t even mention being dangerous so why it’s in quotes I don’t get ... my first comment said so cute please put a life jacket on and my second in response to her being aware of the risks and being docked said my children are not allowed on the dock without a jacket. To each their own..... so nowhere was a rude or critical. Being critical would have been judging her as a parent which I didn’t do, I stated the rules I have (mind you they are not even my rules but the boating club that owns the dock no children on the dock or boat without a jacket). And those rules are due to a one year old being killed falling off a docked boat that was hit. Which is why I said the op is being childish she is turning this into something it was not. And no I can say I have never knowingly done something dangerous with my kids and was glad nobody was there watching let alone on a regular basis that’s insane.
@mimixtmn actually it was rude and critical. And it's easy for you to tell her how "dangerous" the situation was when you weren't there. I'm sure you do things on a regular basis that you're so glad after the fact that no one was there to see it. We're human. It's a cute picture. @mommy1991, nobody said anyone was perfect and nobody was bothering her she felt the need to go make a whole new petty thread on this instead of just @ me with this comment on the original pic. My last comment to her was to each her own she wanted to be petty. Not to mention my comment was not rude nor critical.
There was a one year who died on my brothers lake two summers after the docked boat was hit by a ski doo.... accidents happen just saying. That’s why in a lot of places by law jackets have to be on children in boats moving or not.
@thisisfeeney, the boat was fucking docked in 3ft of water and my dad was holding the baby
The boat wasn't moving people the exact next picture was her baby in a life jacket. It's none of your business what she does with her child. Leave her alone. She was going to put the jacket on the whole time. She just wanted a quick cute picture. Stop acting like you all are perfect. You're not.
I didn’t see the pic but what if the boat hit a large wake from another boat? Someone can easily fall out even in a sec. I would never chance that with my kids.
@thisisfeeney, exactly and those laws are for a reason nobody predicts a tragedy but they can def be prevented but apparently it’s ok as long as the pic is cute oh well 😔
@mimixtmn, in az by law anyone under the age of 13 has to wear a vest. My baby was only 4mos old when went on my dads boat and he had to wear a vest. It’s the law here. And if pulled over it’s a huge ticket and fine.
This is so childish you should have just wrote this comment in response to mine on your picture lol I’m sorry but a child in a boat without a life jacket whether they can crawl or not is imo the same as a child in a car without a car seat or buckled wrong, it’s unsafe. Maybe save the photo for private if you don’t want people to point out it’s dangerous.
@maddoxsmama, yes your baby your rules which again is why I said to each their own and you decided to make a whole new post about it lol
