After not hearing from My older sons dad for over a month he finally called me back a few days ago just to tell me he's not taking my son at all this summer. First off, he had already told my son that he would take him for the month of June. He was so excited since he's only seen his dad twice in the last 2 years (he's in TX and we live in FL). My sons feelings are hurt and he wants to know why. I told my ex he needed to talk to him yet he hasn't made any effort to contact my son at all. 😔 my heart hurts for him. He's 8 so it's not like he's oblivious to what's going on.

@mamaofzuri, most of the time I wish I could but we have a court order giving him time sharing so I can't just not bother with him anymore 😢 my exs own dad came and went his whole life and he resents him for it and now he's doing the exact same to my son. Except more going.

This is so sad!!! Your poor baby. I would give his dad a piece of my mind and let him know how shitty it is to do that.
I would also plan a few things fun for him to do this summer. Get his little mind off of what his dad did.

@mamaofzuri, I could but it would cost money and idk if I would even get anywhere with it. I'll have to look into it and maybe try to get a free consult with an attorney

@messybunmom, oh I did give him a piece of my mind believe me. What's even worse is he won't tell my son. He leaves it all on me. 😒
