Rant. I work at a pizza place. I worked carry out tonight. I had a customer who said he was looking for “vegan” options.

@sassybitch, my grandma has owned a restaurant for over 25 years. I worked it all through high school and after graduation. I pray to god I never have to go back to waitressing. I hated it. Just thinking about it makes me angry 😂

I had a customer throw a giant fit and throw his food at me because his chicken was “artificialized.” Grandma had to make him leave because he was making such a scene all because he wanted s free meal. Nothing was even wrong with the chicken. 😓

@breediddy13 I grew up in this business. My mom and I ran a restaurant when I was in high school. My brother and I swore we would never work in the industry again. 25 years later...he's a Chef de Cuisine at one of Boise's most popular restaurants, and I'm bartending at a major theme park resort here in Orlando 🤦 I wouldn't change a thing, though!

@sassybitch, I too have worked as a waitress and it’s the most stressful, anger-inducing thing I’ve ever done. I worked it for nearly 10 years.

As a fellow industry gal, I totally feel your pain! I've said it before...it would be cool to have an industry group on here, but I wouldn't want to be the admin. I don't care to have any kind of responsibility on here.

Sounds like he simply didn’t know the difference between vegan and vegetarian. 😓
