@sierrapw23, yeah and it's hard because we have one car at the moment because his took a shit. So I take him to work then I go to work. So hopefully someone can pick him up and take him to the hospital. Bit if we're both home the hospital is right across the street. I'm just worried and no ones gunna be there when I'm giving birth.

My baby daddy is a workaholic. He said me thinking he would be late is insulting to him but I really feel he is going to show up when the baby is born. But I can’t describe how I feel because Ik he would drive 120 mph to the hospital 😭 it’s just a huge fear tho. He won’t drop work for anything but I know he will for that so I’m just worried

ahh thinking about this gives me anxiety.. I have two LO’s & hubby works nights, probably about 35 minutes away.. I’m scared it’ll happen when I’m alone with my babies and my husband is at work 🤦‍♀️

I actually didn’t make it in time to get any pain relief but i don’t regret it also, it was actually a good experience even though it’s painful we can do it, my next and last baby i will go natural also.

@jennyg51397, Not trying to scare you, don’t go to a small town hospital. The first hospital I gave birth in was very helpful. They gave me epidural at 4 cm. I was terrified it was my first time.

The third time- Thank to God I had experience giving birth. The doctor didn’t even make it. The nurse delivered the baby and I was telling her what to do.

I was shaking after (adrenaline? Shock? I wasn’t expecting this). I didn’t want to hold the baby I thought I would drop her. My hands were shaking so bad I couldn’t control it. Eventually the labor and delivery department got shut down in this hospital.

The epidural may make labor longer though, but way less painful if given early. Also increased my back pain.

Once again my OB assured me the third time there wouldn’t be epidural issues. It’s not my fault they didn’t have adequate staff. The patients should’ve been informed if the hospital wasn’t prepared for this. I would’ve gone elsewhere.

For my 3rd it was the hospital fault I didn’t get pain relief. They said I would and all the sudden they’re short staffed when I asked for the Epi. Went natural unprepared because nobody notified me that the anesthesiologist wouldn’t make it on time. Nobody even offered me any alternative.

@jennyg51397, do you have the number for your hospital's nurseline? Call them first when you think you might be in labor. They will either tell you to wait it out or come in 😃

I had group B strep with both previous deliveries. So I had to give birth within 18 hours of my water breaking. The first one I wasn't worried about pain meds or hubby getting there in time. I wasn't even sure my water actually broke lol with my second everything happened so fast that I am concerned I won't make it to the hospital before giving birth this time.

@jennyg51397, it's better to go in. Don't be embarrassed. Every labor and delivery nurse will tell you that.

I always think about this too but I have family around so hoping if that situation were to ever happen I would either call my mom or my mother in law. And I have another baby so I would be panicking if that were to happen lol

I had to send my MIL to pull my husband off the ice 😂 he's a goalie. You usually have plenty of time as a first time mom. I actually suggest doing most of your labor at home bc once you get to the hospital, they have all sorts of stupid rules.
