What did everyone put in their birth plan? I know it’s just a rough guide as to what we want and birth can go so many ways we don’t always get what we want but midwife asked me to write up a rough plan and I’m stumped 🤷🏼♀️
@kayleeebeee, oh god I couldn’t imagine that!xx
I never really put anything in mine just that I want my partner to be as involved as possible that I wanted him to cut the cord I wanted him to put on her first outfit and nappy and things like that for extra dad bonding x
@courtniek98x, oh bless you! My midwives let me hold both my two whilst being stitched (normal deliveries though without forceps or anything) they said it gave me something to concentrate on other than the pain as even with the numbing injection I could still feel bits of pain when getting stitched xx
@kittylady, I only need 1 plan hun but thank you xx
I have 3 basic plans: homebirth, hospital and c-sec. (I've only ever had vaginal births and I'm planning a homebirth). I keep them to one page so they are a quick read. You need to put what you want in there. I include things like pain relief (including pool if that's what you want), active Labour (not lying down, able to move around), delayed cord clamping, skin to skin, breastfeeding, daddy has skin to skin too whilst I make myself comfy as we feel it helps bonding.
@kayleeebeee, thank you hun!! I’d be the exact same if I had to have a section this time! I didn’t get to hold my daughter first because she was emergency forceps and she had to have help with breathing a first then she got passed to her dad while I was getting stitched up xx
Type of birth? Water, voluntary c section etc.
Type of pain relief you'd def like/def not like
Who you want in room if end in emergency c section
Cord cut straight away or delay it
Who to cut it
Do,you want the vitamin k shot in your leg to release your placenta quicker
Baby skin to skin straight away.
I think in my first birth plan I even wrote if I go for an emergency c section I want to be the first to hold the baby. Because I carried it and I'm obvs a bitch 🤣🤣🤣
@courtniek98x, I hope all comes back ok! I had preeclampsia with mine. It’s stressful but you’ll be in the right hands if it is that 😊.. I agree with the other lady who replied, I’ll be asking for delayed cord clamping also. I can’t believe how fast this pregnancy is going!! So exciting 😊
Also what pain relief you would/wouldnt consider. IE gas and air, pethadine, epidural etc..
Anything regarding cord claming/cutting
Delayed cord clamping. And partner to cut cord. Nothing else went to plan last time so I'm not doing anything else lol x
@mummyroo91, midwife wasn’t too happy about it normally she tells me it’s perfect and I don’t know yet until my results come back from the lab about the protein in my urine
@courtniek98x I can't remember my last one but so far all I have wrote in my notes is no diamorphine only gas and air, partner to cut cord, skin to skin contact immediately after birth (if possible of course) xx
Ah ok!! Always best to think ahead any way. I saw your post earlier. Is your blood pressure ok? Are they concerned about preeclampsia??
@mummyroo91, no love, she’s asked me to write down how I want things ect and then we will be reviewing it all and sorting out my plan at my 34 week appointment if my results come back okay in the next few days
Definitely 😊 it’s also good to have it
Down either way. There’s a few things I’m having done differently this time. I’m looking forward to that appointment. Do you not do your birth plan at an appointment with your midwife??
@mummyroo91, yeah I know they hardly ever go to plan but it’s only a rough guide anyway
I think plans never go to plan lol. But just write down what you definitely do/ do not want. What you want as soon as baby arrives etc
What are yalls plans for birth control?
Birth Plan Rant
I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
What is everyone's plan after they give birth? What kind of birth control do u plan on using? I wanted the depo shot but I've heard it makes u fat and ruins your body & I also don't want to take a pill everyday..I want your advice please!
What is your first name?
We all know our baby's name but what is your first name? I want to know you ladies a little better ?
My mil wants me to call her to talk about my birthing plan because she doesn’t agree with it...what do I even say without being rude. I’m heated.
@ezchaz, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
