My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
Walking blocks & malls when I hit 36 weeks 😅 i rather walk her out than have to get induced 🤦🏾 ♀ so hopefully I can get her out before my induction date 👏🏾
Please help! My doctor is trying to induce me before 40 weeks because she's going to be off on my due date and says my placenta is starting to look old. How do I get labor started?? I don't want to be induced for no reason and I'm thinking I won't have a choice. Please help. What do I do to get things going?
Really don't like the negative judgment that comes when you tell people your trying to induce labor 😳😳😳 Of course I don't think it's OK to be trying super early when it's not safe for baby or doing dangerous things to induce but I don't think the judgment is necessary. 😧😧 I started trying to induce this week (I'll be 38 weeks in less than 2 days) and have talked about it on here and Facebook with friends and family. And almost all the responses are negative (thankfully not on here actually but I have seen multiple posts with negative connotations towards women who try to induce here) 😓😓😓 So I thought I would explain myself to show why I don't think you should judge. I have a lot of health problems and my doctor wasn't sure I would go into labor on my own. I have been seeing her at least once a week. It was going well I was dilated to 2cm and having some contractions naturally. Unfortunately they stopped completely and I am now dilated down to less than 1cm. It doesn't seem like I'm making any progress at all. And if I don't before my next visit my doctor wants to schedule an induction. I really am against induction by medical means. Even pitocin is just to much to me. So I'm trying to jump start things naturally to avoid induction. I'm not necessarily trying to make her come now I just want enough progress that my doctor won't have to use chemicals. Of course I understand people are against trying to induce early either way but I personally feel it's safer than giving pitocin to my child. 🙅🙅🙅 I don't expect everyone to agree and that's completely ok. I just think that sometimes people don't know the entire situation before they judge and start making mamas feel bad.
I am 28 weeks and my son is already 3 pounds. I am inducing myself at 37 weeks.

My sons growth slowed and I was almost induced but I went into labor before hand. I was putting the evening primrose pills directly into my vagina. It doesn’t induce labor, the oil helps soften your cervix. You have to pierce the pill first then shove it straight up there. I walked up and down stairs and did some stretches and such on a yoga ball to help guide him into my birth canal. I still required pitocin but I think the oil helped soften everything and helped me avoid tearing as bad. Hope it helps!! Don’t let people discourage you from doing what your doctors suggest. ❤️
