Has anyone heard of putting baby puree in a bottle with baby water? My family suggests this and rice cereal in a bottle but my son didn't really care for the rice cereal.
@crai no concern he does his job well. I ask questions to see what other moms are doing and what works for them being a first time mom. I didn't say I give him a bottle with food in it I asked if anyone heard of doing this or is it just my family lol.. I thought it was okay to ask questions about our little ones on here. I have consulted doctors before coming here for any health concerns. I also answer many questions on here as well , whether they've consulted a doctor or not. Consulting a doctor seems to be the obvious first step (for me, google then doctor lol) then if I choose to I ask other mother's for their personal opinion and experience.
@taylorsmommy1017 yeah I already started solids with a spoon my aunt and dad just strongly suggested it because they know he has to go to daycare soon and needs to get familiar with a bottle. When she tried to give it to him he didn't really drink much but I told her I'm not comfortable doing that or having him sleep with a bottle in his mouth.
@santistevanmommie right! Lol I google everything they hate that. When I found out I was pregnant I found great pleasure in researching everything. My pediatrician doesn't seem as concerned as I am about formula, baby water, and brands of baby food. Sucks that I can't really rely on him but with google and this app makes things easier for me so I don't freak out.
@crai I've already done that. I wanted to know if other mom's have heard of it or not. My pediatrician suggests I give him any formula on the shelf and any baby food available. He isn't as concerned as I am so I do my own research mainly out of curiosity. According to many people in my family this whole food in a bottle thing was done to my cousin's and I growing up and done to their daughters but I personally just decided I didn't think it was a good idea. Not judging anyone who does. Just wanted to know if its more common than I thought.
@mamaways, sometimes they just think they know what’s best because their babies did it and they turned out okay. It’s always good to get a second opinion mama. And sometimes google knows what it’s talking about lol
You’re welcome
@santistevanmommie thanks! Im returning it. I dont know why my family is so stuck on giving him rice cereal. I use a spoon. They also believe in giving a bottle when going to sleep. I hate that.
Putting food like that in a bottle is a choking hazard. He’s at the age to be spoon fed or feeding himself.
Also, rice cereal has NO nutritional value whatsoever for babe.
People do it but if your going to feed use a spoon. If baby doesn't like rice you can try oatmeal or just go to puree. Using a spoon is better because the risk of choking decreases
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@taylorsmommy1017 right I have plenty of different spoons and he finally takes it pretty well.
