I feed my dogs and cats garlic oil I just put it on their food and it keeps fleas off because their blood tastes bad. And for the spiders they don’t like citrus scents like orange and lime and lemon so I have essential oils of those and put on cotton balls all over the house and it’s helped. I got bit by a brown recluse last year while I was pregnant and I did research and came up with that and I haven’t seen but 1 since I did that.

Oh that diatomaceous earth is great!!! I have it under my couches and around the front and back door and if you get a low grade you can rub it directly into the animals

@babymamaof4, garlic can kill dogs. It’s a no no.

Okay I’ll try that it seems like every time it rains it just pushes the bugs inside more, I’ve tried the flea collars and treatments on my animals but it only works for maybe a few days then they get covered again. We can’t afford a professional with my SO being the only one working right now I really wish we could cause it’s just getting out of hand. I heard about diatomaceous earth before so I’ll give a try this week we are planning on bombing again this week as well going to get under the house, thank you ladies!

We had a flea problem at my old house due to the people before us having a bunch of dogs in the home. The house was infested of fleas I don’t know how they lived there with their babies 🤢 We bought stuff at the store to exterminate we did it about 3 times a week for about 2 weeks and then vacuumed after and dumped what ever the vacuum picked up in the trash can outside. We kept our house really cold too. I’ve seen online that at 32 degrees the adult fleas die so maybe set it at that and leave your house for a bit?

@theinkedmommy, they make a yeast and garlic tablet just for dogs. It’s not straight garlic by itself I should have been clear.

Ugh I'm dealing with gnats right now and we put those fly sticky paper that hang from the ceiling and it's OK just takes awhile to catch.

We use that Ortho Home Defense Max both outside & inside around all of the windows, doors, etc. Spectracide works alright too. Neither one last a full three months, but they work for almost two months. Maybe try putting some of that out & then flea/bug bombing. Good luck!

For gnats...get some Mason jars or something with a lid, poke holes in the lids, use a mixture of Dawn dish soap, vinager and a little water. Once the gnats gets in they can't get out and the soap and vinager attracts them. We was infested HORRIBLY in our Kitchen so bad to the point they ended up all in our cabinets and stove and even the refrigerator! This is what got rid of ours.

These are really good you can either put two in each room or put 1 one time & after if theres still more put another round of them . They really work , we had fleas due to our cat and dog bringing them in , Took them out dont let them in anymore & no more fleas . Also killes ants & spiders. There is also a spray that you attach to your water hose & Just spray it outside really good also.
