Rant!!!! cellulitis

My little 15 month (1 year for the math challenged lol) old has cellulitis on his lower back. Super scary and so thankful that we caught it early. The doc did a culture so we will know what caused it soon... poor baby. He's been in the antibiotics for a day and hoping that I'm not imagining it is getting better. Also has a cream for it. But still never wracking. .. The sore looked like a round flaky patch of skin. I thought it might be a ringworm just without the super red ring and put antifungal cream in it which just pissed it off. Good news is he's still happy! Anyone else deal with this in a small child? Any tips?
