i got my bed back! i finally got the lil man to sleep in his crib, goin on the 4th night. i thought it would never work.

i feed my dd and when she falls asleep i put her in her crib usually around 9 sometimes she wakes up at 3 and sometimes she sleeps through the night.

Thanks for this post and replies. I'm struggling too. He's still in his swing. He falls asleep so well in it and sleeps all night but I need to get him out of it since he's getting too big for it!! He's almost 21 weeks!

lol, ive noticed if u let them get over tired they cry longer also.

He refuses formula lol. He is a strong willed boy!

i dont know if ur open to the idea of formula feeding. but if so try a bottle right before bed time he may not be getting full enough.

i nurse also he eats once at bed time witch is 7:30 wakes up between 1:00/1:30 feeds again and wakes again at 5:00am eats a goes bk to sleep till about 8.

I do the same! =] the only thing us he is waking up every hour to 2 hours just cuz he wants to nurse. That's the main problem!

then in the morning i make sure and plant many kisses on him and let him know hes a very big boy and how proud of him i am for sleeping in his own bed.

yes when he wakes up just feed him and he should fall bk to sleep in your arms. then just put him bk in his bed.

So I shouldn't even go check on him after a predetermined amount if time either?? What about in the middle if the night when he starts crying.

my son would be passed out untill the second i laid him in his crib. so i know hes tired but was waiting for me to get him and put him in bed with us. it works dont give up it may take a lot of crying nights but your baby will eventually realize thats where he has to be. GL.

just left him to cry closed the door and walked away. thats the thing there very smart they know we will pick them up. trust me it hurts u more to hear him crying then it hurts him to cry it out.

Did u just leave him to cry it go in and comfort. We have been trying this since sat night and last night was the third night and it was worse! We have been going in after a predetermined amount of time and if he is still hysterically after a half hour I would pick him up and comfort him and put him back when he was drowsy again and it seemed to make it worse!! I don't think I'll pick him up tonight. Just pat and leave. He's still waking up in the middle of the night and frying to but he goes back to sleep after I give him his paci and a pat.

and i think its been good for both of is because i wasnt sleepin well with him in my bed and it seemed like he would toss and turn alot also. well with him in his own bed he wakes up one time and we have both been getting amazing aleep. so dont give up ladies that crying baby in the crib eventually falls asleep! lol

let him cry it out. i know it sounds mean and sad but his doctor said if hes feed changed and u know nothings wrong with him then put him in there and let him cry. he can cry for at least an hour. the first night it was about 45min ,second night about 30 mins and 3rd and last night no crying at all. each night became easier.
