Going to give up pumping

I'm not want to pump anymore, I feel horrible for thinking like this but having 3 kids ages 2 and under is already alot of work.

I didn't like the idea of donated milk at one point. But when I needed milk for my son while my other son was in the hospital my friend offered to pump for him. I trusted her and took her offer. So maybe you have a trusted friend? If not that's fine you've made it to one month! That's an accomplishment. Some people wouldn't have even tried and you did. Take it one day at a time. You're doing the best you can.

I thought about doing donated milk but my husband doesn't like that idea at all.

I had such a hard time when I gave up pumping. I made it 7 moths but then I started working third shift sporadically and my body just couldn't do it. If you do stop, there's no shame in switching to formula.

I hated pumping with only one baby to take care of. Eping, taking care of twins, and a two year old is nuts!!!! You are definitely super mom!!!

You have made it longer than I could've in your situation! Way to go, mama! ?

The most important thing is to get those babies fed, but you also have to take care of yourself and keep your sanity. Breastmilk is best, of course--but formula will fill their tummies and keep them nourished just fine. Do what works best for all of you!

If you do end up supplementing at some point, I suggest researching alternatives to formula. I know one is a mix of goats milk and organic carrot juice. Or see if you can find a local milk bank.

You are doing a great job! Do what works for you.

My husband said just pump whenever I have time. And I have alot frozen. So ill take it one day at a time and see how far I get

I wouldn't have made it a month, honestly. I'm the biggest breastfeeding advocate you'll meet, but 3 under 2?!? Exclusive pumping for 2!!? Dad back at work? Remember that it's not all or nothing. You do what you can. Formula exists for situations like yours. No one in their right mind will look down on you for using it. I like the advice of dropping one pumping a day. That might be freeing enough for now. And if you need to drop more or all the pumping, that's fine too. Try to be as kind to yourself as you would be to a friend who was in your shoes. Hugs!

That's great that your mom and husband are so supportive, you totally need that!!

Do what you can, it'll all work out!

Congrats on making it a month! Some is better than none :) and i can't even imagine how busy you must be, so to be able to do it for a month is amazing! Plus, I know how hard it can be to pump (I've never been able to get more than 3 Oz a session).

No matter what happens, you have to do what is better for you and your family. If that is to stop pumping then you'll be able to stress less about it and if it is to keep going, awesome, you're doing something great for your kids :)

Today has been hard I've only pumped one full time and half the second time. Every time I try one of my kids cry, I have the hands free bra but it's hard when I gotta hold both girls and my 2 year old trying to get on my lap too. My husband and mom are great and giving me motivation to keep going. I'm gonna keep trying as much as I can and go for 6 months at least. I would love to go to a year but we will see.

Congrats on making it one month! I can't imagine how hard it is.

Whatever you decide, you are doing what's best for your family! I would say just do as much as you can and if you have to supplement, so be it. Some bm is better than none.

Good luck and I sure hope it gets easier for you!

There is a group on Facebook called exclusively pumping and you fill out a questionnaire because some people try to join who don't actually pump. That group is amazing and so are the moms in it and some have the same number of kids or more or less and maybe awesome to ask. I love that group

Exclusively pumping suuuuuuucks (no pun intended)!! I seriously hated every minute of it. I nearly went crazy with just one baby.

What helped me was every time I felt overwhelmed and wanted to quit I would drop a pump. At first it was 8x a day, by the time I got down to 4x I felt like it was manageable and kept going. It meant my daughter was being supplemented with formula, but to me it was a good compromise.

I can't imagine having 3 under 2. I can barely handle my 2. I fail miserably somedays it seems so you are my hero. You are mama, you know best. Hopefully it gets easier but either way no need to beat yourself up. :) good luck with your sweet babies.

I was an exclusive pumper for 21 months it is hard work and I only had one baby to care for. I recommend cutting back your pump sessions to start and make sure you are using a hands free bra you can either buy one or make one out of an old sports bra. Hands free bra's help so much I would pump while I made dinner, played with baby and even while driving! Don't worry about how long you pump for just wake up in the morning and decide to pump today just for one day worry about tomorrow later. The most important thing is feeding your babies supplementing or switching to all formula might be the best choice for your family do what's best for all of you. Good job for exclusively pumping for the first month! I promise it gets easier.

Mama I believe in you ! You can do it ! Don't give up ! If you cannot keep up all the pumps . At least give them as much as you can . Also look into local milk banks :) breast milk is the best for babies

I cannot imagine doing all of the pumping and all the feeding and all the diaper changes and the loving all by yourself. There's not enough time!

If you give up the pumping, it'll mean more time for loving on all los.

Breast pump covered by insurance

I've already done what I needed to find out what type of pump I get covered through insurance. It turns out, with my insurance, I can't even get my pump shipped to me until I call them with all the birth details of my baby. So...wth am I supposed to do having a baby and no pump?! I plan to pump exclusively and this REALLY throws a wrench in my plans.

You may want to ask your doctor for a prescription for a hospital grade pump if you
may042017 I will be ordering the Medela Pump in Style. I'm pretty sure my insurance covers either that
With my insurance I couldn't get one till after baby was born and it took forever to
