A bit off topic but
has anyone ordered from Aussie farmers direct? Are they good? We seriously need to cut back on expenses and while I was doing our budget I noticed we spend a lot on groceries. So instead of going to Safeway where we tend to impulse buy I was going to order at Safeway online but I'm curious about Aussie farmers direct.
We get the milk, bread, juice delivered every week. Have been doing it for 18 months or so and love it. You can cancel at anytime so don't need to worry about that. Fruit and veg is ok but the delivery day doesn't suit us. It is great waking up and having milk and bread without needing to dash out to the supermarket!
Thanks guys, I might try it out to see how it is if it's easy to cancel.
We have had deliveries from them for the past 12 Months and have found the quality of the fruit and veg to be much better than the supermarkets. The produce lasts a lot longer too. The meat is good and we also have them deliver bread, milk, and orange juice. I love the way it is delivered to our front door and means I rarely have to visit a supermarket unless I need sauce mixes or cleaning products. It is a little more expensive than going to the shops but also stops me from impulse buying.
We have been getting it for about 10 months. I love the milk and bread twice a week - saves me going to shop and getting other stuff I don't really need. The fruit and veg is great quality, but I have stopped it for now as I am not having oranges due to bad heartburn and they send them so it's a bit of a waste. Will def start up again for summer fruit and veg - we used it all and saved a lot of money - also made us all eat more fruit and veg at the time. Its definitely worth a try, and you can cancel or change your order easily online anytime.
Yeah we've been getting it for a month. You can give it a try and cancel anytime. We said we would give them a few weeks trial and reassess but it's great getting the delivery. We get the couples fruit and veggies pack and it makes you a little more creative in the kitchen as we've gotten veggies we would not normally buy and I've had to search recipes. Only prob we have is we don't eat a lot of fruit so when next weeks comes we still have a full fruit bowl. It was supposed to encourage me to eat more fruit since I fell preggas but that wore off after a week. We also get milk bread and cream delivered. The milk is yum, bread only ok and the cream is bulla that you get from supermarkets.
I did at one stage. Was good for milk and bread, but wasn't impressed with the quality of their fruit, veggies or meat. I'm currently getting Coles delivery and love their fruit & vegies. I order a $40 box of seasonal fruit & vegies and swear there's double the value in it which is awesome for a family of 5!
I refused. The salesman came door to door in our street and was sooo rude!!
Have you tried aldi? Most their stuff is Aussie made and they have a "artificial colouring & flavor free" policy across store. I do my shopping every 2weeks and never spend more then $100 including meats! I go to a fruit shop for my fruit tho.
We have been getting bread milk and juice twice a week through them for nearly 3 years now and love it.
When I was at uni then working full-time we also got the family fruit and veg box once a fortnight, it has great variety and made us try some different veggies. The veggies wouldn't last the full fortnight so we would have to get extras from the shops.
Very easy to cancel, change orders, and they also do delivery breaks for when your away, all can be done online or over the phone.
