Freaking out!
Ok so my fiancé decided to make a cake (no that's not why I'm freaking out) anyway our 10 month old son was standing holding the kitchen gate watching him so my fiancé decides to give him a little of the raw chocolate cake mix which obviously has raw eggs I yelled when I noticed, is this bad?
Thanks guys, I did think the cotton wool comment was a bit harsh. I was more concerned as it was nearly his bed time and I wasn't sure if it takes a little while to show allergies and if he was sleeping I wouldn't see an adverse reaction but he is all good so obviously not allergic yay!! And yes now he can occasionally eat raw cake mix which he really seemed to be enjoying before big bad mum ruined their fun haha 😕
As someone who has had an anaphylactic reaction before, as an adult (and died for a few seconds from it), I completely understand peoples hesitation to introduce known allergens to small children- it's definitely not wrapping them in cotton wool. Good to know he's not allergic though! Scary x
I have a 13mth old and was told not to introduce egg before 12mths due to allergies (it's the egg white that's the concern not the yolk). My daughter is allergic and it's immediately obvious. I know lots of people that weren't aware of the no egg thing and introduced eggs at an early age with no problems. If ur little one didn't have an obvious allergic reaction then I would worry about it. It's understandable to be concerned about something that could make your baby sick. In my opinion that is far from wrapping them in cotton wool. On the upside ur little one should b able to enjoy the occasional raw cake mix without too much concern from now on. Hmmm, raw cake mix yummmm!!!
You can introduce eggs with dairy and meat now at 6months! My LO is 10.5months old and has had scrambled eggs for breaky a few times, it's also ok to introduce peanut butter at 6 months (not crunchy) so long as you have no family history of allergies to either it's fine! My LO also has peanut butter on toast occasionally
Hey Emma, I'm still ttcing lol but have younger siblings (23yr age gap!) and mum didn't introduce eggs til 12 months with the last 2 little ones and my brother is about 2 1/2 now and she still hasn't introduced nuts (peanut butter, satay anything etc).
And he definetly isn't wrapped in cotton wool (has a chipped tooth, and helps in the vegie garden daily!)
Thanks for your reply's, it's not that I'm wrapping him in cotton wool in fact I am the exact opposite I have read some where that you can't introduce cooked egg until after 12 months because of the possibility of allergies so I was a but worried about introducing raw egg before 12 months
I don't know for a fact but I am pretty sure raw egg is okay for a young child.
I know they say you shouldn't have it when you're pregnant but that's because of the risk to the developing fetus.
As a toddler I remember eating "toast soldiers" a soft boiled egg that you dip your toast in. I'm fact I only remember having eggs with runny yolks as a child.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

I finally was able to get ahold of some of my old pictures of me and my fiancé, it's still so freaking hard to even look at them I miss him so much
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
My hospital officially posted on their website that no spouses are aloud in during birth/post partum. So guess who’s gonna have to freaking look into a midwife for vbac tomorrow 🙃 not an option to have my fiancé miss the whole birth of our son. Freaking crazy.
So I thought my water broke... i was about to freak out... Im still sitting on the toilet trying to figure out if it was pee..
Hi baby-b, he is fine today so I panicked for nothing and now he can eat eggs for breaky yum! Oh my fiancé doesn't usually bake I think he must of had a mad moment yesterday haha, but the cake was yummy! 😕
