Bf'ing baby with a cold
I need help! So my whole family has been battling a lingering cold and recently my two month old daughter caught it. She is having problems bf'ing so I tried giving her a bottle, but she refused. Her dad can always get her to take the bottle, but I never can. Sometimes her dad will be sitting right next to me and I will give up trying to bottle feed her and have her dad try and he will be successful. Unfortunately for me though, her dad is in Germany and we give her a bottle every day. Idk what I am going to do without my husband. I am totally freaking out. Her cold is very mild and she is breathing fine, no fever. I don't want to visit the pediatrician but I cannot think of anything else I can do... I just want to give up bf'ing I'm so stressed out. Also who knew bf baby's will associate certain people with certain feeding methods. I did some research and apparently that's a real thing.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
You can give her milk through a syringe but do try to suction her airway so she can nurse comfortably. My daughter used to get horrible runny nose when her teeth were coming in and she could hardly breathe. So I made sure to get the nasal drops in her and suction off and on.
