Potty training child with Aspergers
Hello everyone, I'm trying to potty train my almost 3 year old son. Things aren't going very well and I suspect it is because of his Aspergers. He struggles with effective communication and I think he is starting to get frustrated. Has anyone out there potty trained a child with this condition? How did it go? Any tips?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
For some reason my son didn't have trouble with potty training - we was fully daytime trained at 3. He is on the spectrum (level 1).
That said it took some time. We started at 2 1/2 and a lot of it was just visual familiarization. Books, DVDs and yes Weird but just going to bathroom with us helped.
I understand about the speech. We got around it by having his seat on the toilet all the time and letting him just go by himself. Big issue with that was him walking out with his pants down but we worked on that after the potty training itself was done.
Not conventional but it worked.
HTHs!!
