Is it unusual?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 going on 6 months. We conceived our first in one month with no issues. We both don't have any fertility issues that we know of. Our first was born via cesarean. Could it be the csection? Is it time to get concerned?

I got pregnant in one month with my first and had a c section. Took me then 9 months to conceive #2 which ended up being ectopic because hsg showed scar tissue in my right tube ( could be from having a c section but don't know for sure) now almost another 9 months later I'm still trying with one tube and staying positive!

I have a friend who got pregs first try, had a csection with her first, then tried 9 months before conceiving her 2nd. I've never heard of it affecting fertility though. Who knows?

I wouldn't be concerned yet. Took me 1 month to get pregnant with my son, 1 month with my miscarriage baby and this pregnancy it took us 4 months. I had a c section in 2009. I was starting to get concerned too. Sorry if this reply is all over the place

I don't think you have anything to be concerned about yet. We literally got pregnant on the first try with our daughter and I had a csection (unplanned) as well. We're on month 4 of ttc and still nothing... I have a feeling well start month 5 soon :( it's really, really disappointing but nothing to worry about just yet.

It is completely normal for a perfectly healthy and fertile couple to take a year or more of perfectly timed sex to actually get pregnant. I know that seems like a long time, especially when you got pregnant so quickly the first time!

Where I live if you have no history of fertility problems the Drs won't even start any kinds of testing until you have been actively trying for at least 18 months (12 months if you are over 30 years old).

It took 4 years to get pregnant with our 2nd daughter (and my first was a vaginal birth) and only took a month to get pregnant with my 3rd (my second was a c-section). I lost my 3rd pregnancy tho. It took 5 months to get pregnant again after my miscarriage. So I don't think the c-section has anything to do with it.
