Ooohh, I had no idea. I have had an iPhone replaced at apple but it wasn't the one with the replacement screen luckily.

AppleCare is a rather smart marketing and money grabbing ploy where Apple sell it's customers insurance.

If you go online log a support call and they will phone you back. They will let you know what you can do.

They were going to give me a whole new phone but because i had voided by getting repairs elsewhere i was stuffed. Omg i was livid

Previously i had my screen repaired at a non apple store and when my speaker stopped working and i had to go to apple as it was apparently a problem that couldnt be fixed they told me i had voided my warranty by getting it repaired not by apple. This is why i dont mind paying the extra

There are lots of places not through apple that will do your screen, I paid $60. They have phone stalls in shopping centres. You should have a look around ;)

What's apple care?

If you have apple care they will replace faulty phones at a cost of around $100 from memory though I took my 5 in a year ago and told them is rang apple and I could swap my phone, he gave it to me for free. You get a fully refurbished phone not a brand newey though. Or you can find a repairer, try gumtree as I found someone who replaced the screen for $100 with one day turnaround.

Buy the kit off of eBay then watch the YouTube video. You will be able to fix for like fifteen bucks

I think I paid $200 and they gave be a refurbished phone. I had smashed front and back and also part of the touch screen had stopped working.

I've recently had the screen on my iPhone 5 replaced (clumsy I know lol) and I paid $120 just at a shop at our local Westfield.
