Am I overreacting?
Today I had my anatomy scan and I found out what I was having. After we were done, the tech told me to go to the waiting room and she'll bring me my pictures. I thought she was going to print them out, but she gave me a CD instead. I went home and looked at the pictures and noticed that I didn't get a profile shot or a picture showing that my baby's a girl. I know anatomy scans aren't really for you to just see your baby, but I am so disappointed. IDK what I am supposed to do with a picture of my cervix and of just the baby's spine. I've been down all day because I don't have any good pictures to share with my family.

I do not think that you are overreacting. The same thing happened to me my last pregnancy. I did not get a profile or the one revealing her gender. All I got was a pic of my baby's hand. I wanted to get an elective scan and pay out of pocket for it but I didn't have the money at the time. Until this day I still wish that I could have gotten an elective scan and my baby is now 1. If you have the money I would strongly suggest that you get one!
We also got a CD, but our images were about the opposite! We got a couple profiles, a foot, legs, etc. I would have rather liked to see some of the internal anatomy because I was most concerned with seeing that baby is actually healthy. My whole ultrasound/follow up appt was disappointing because I did not get to watch any part of the fetal anatomy measurements, and I barely got any comments out of the dr. He shoved a copy of the report in my face and said here, you can have this. The hospital I go to refuses to let the expectant mothers see that part and my husband wasn't even allowed in the room. He had to occupy our 2yo for over an hour while they did the measurements. Then they came in at the end and we all got to see baby's face, while body, and such on the screen for about 5 minutes. So while my experience may have slightly differed from yours, it was also very disappointing!
I could barely see because I was laying down but SO saw all the good stuff. They only do 2 ultrasounds where I am. I'm still in a funk but I might get an elective ultrasound done.
I had something similar happen. To be honest it wasn't really the technicians fault, the baby was in a really crappy position for pictures. But I am still disappointed with what I was given for the money. Like, just tell me they sucked. I would have passed on them and done it at my follow up ultrasound. I'm not buying another cd so oh well. I think I have one good one of a hand. That's it ☹️
Oh that's so disappointing! You didn't even see it on the screen? I had to specifically ask for a print out of the potty shot--she said it's not standard to give them out. But it's obvious to get a profile a least, especially if they go through the trouble of making a CD for you! Good grief!

his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Why Are Many Women Unaware of Their Own Anatomy?
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

Awww, I feel for all the ladies that don't get a ton of ultrasounds. I've had to have mfm doctor for my last 3 pregnancies. So, even with this one I get scans every two weeks. Last week, is the first time I didn't get pictures and it was like it was a surprise to my husband. Lol
