World's okayest mom moment ?
I went to get my car inspection and when I got there I had my 6 mo old in her infant car seat..
That's ok, I forgot extra clothes for my tot the other day. I always have at least one outfit in the car just incase I forget. Well nope, I only had a tunic shirt and pull-up. She had an accident at the begging of our errands and had to walk around like that. Poor girl. Iknow I got all kinds of judgement that day. Then the other day we go for dinner and my DH carried her out to the car. He forgot her shoes, that actually happens pretty frequently!
You ladies are awesome. Thanks for making me feel so much better. I enjoyed all your stories!!! Today was just one of those crazy mommy days! Lol ?
I think we've all done that. I was such a klutz with my first. Literally left stuff at home and everything. I keep thinking I got so much better now that I have two and they are 3 and 4, but the other day, I was rushing out of the house and forgot the bag with their snack and cups in it. Errands took forever and when we finally got done, being pregnant, I had to pee. So I take them in the family bath room and my 3 year old said I have to go. I should have let him go first but I couldn't hold it and he peed all over himself. His first accident in 6 months maybe. No wipes, no extra clothes, nothing. I cleaned him up and carried him with just a shirt on through the store and to the car and just know people were staring at me. Sooooo embarrassing.
When my first was 7/8 months old I would hold her in the air and let her drop a little in my arms below-- she freaking loved it. She would giggle snort dribble coo clap, was amazing! This one time I had a work friend round and I did it again to my daughter and no joking the little sausage leant to one side and I barely caught her !
The look for horror and judgement from this lady was unreal!
I went on a shopping trip with a different friend when she was first born too, dd was dairy intolerant so she leaked every poop nappy! I went off and changed her change of clothes the lot! Half hour later she done it again... went off to change her... BUT NO other vests or baby grows! I changed the nappy and wrapped in blanket.. walked to meet friend and in search of a baby grow. Judgement looks all round me- sod off, I'm a mum- I done nothing wrong and she was warm in the blanket in the store until I then took a tag off new clothes got her dressed and then at the till just scanned the tags ?
I totally understand what you went through. The other day I had my 4month old appointment . I was preparing everything and decided not to pack diapers . Well stupid me thought that I wouldn't need them because everytime I take them I never use them so I thought it was a waste of space . And also I was out of wipes . I was confident that my son wasn't going to poop himself that day . Well guess what he did ! I was seating at the hospital waiting to be called while my son was sitting with a poppy diaper
So what I did I went into the family restroom and clean him with toilet paper and I use those light blankets as a diaper . No one notice until one of nurses needed him out of the carseat stroller to take blood out . I was so embarrassed to explain what was going on. I felt so unfit and irresponsible to have my son like that. And before that I was having a hard time putting him to sleep in the waiting room.
There were two ladies right besides me. They knew I was struggling . They all of a sudden started talking about there own family and why most them are not ready to have baby's. I just felt like I gave them something to talk about .
I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
I can’t wait to put my son forward facing in his car seat 👌🏼four more days
I installed my newborn car seat into my car👍One less thing on my to do list!
Car Wreck!!
What a day! I took my husband's car to work which I never do. He drove my car last night so I couldn't find my keys. Then I get to work and we end up leaving late because I had to finish an audit. As I'm driving my husband's car home a guy fails to yield and turns right in front of me with no warning and I had no way to stop. I slammed into the side of him and in my fury I jumped out of the car freaking out and screaming at him and even made the poor kid cry. He didn't have a l...
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Girl things like this happen! One time we were at my Inlaws and while grandpa was watching DD in her car seat (because we forgot her bouncy seat) he had gotten her out to hold her then laid her back in. we were only there 30 mins and washing the truck while she was inside. we say our goodbyes, put her in the car and drove to sams club. I grab her car seat and put her in the cart when i realize she was never buckled in her actual car seat. At this time she's only 2 months old and i had a little heart attack thinking of what could of happened because we just "figured" and never actually checked! You live and you learn ?now I triple check she's buckled in?
