just checked out secrects of bw from library- thx! vermont- from what ive read and researched a birth center is a great place to give birth. relaxed atmosphere and lots of encouragement

I watched that recently and was surprised to see the midwife who helped my mom deliver me was interviewed in it. i emailed her after seeing it and asked for her recommendation for a midwife in my area. I'm considering a midwife run birthing center.

ill have to check out dr sears book too. peggy vincent has more resources on babycare as well which im going to try to get my hands on. anyone like babywise? i used a book called moms on call which recommends a gradual cry it out method for sleep. im looking at other methods just to be aware. i know a lot depends on baby and parents' personality/style too though.

There is a book I'm reading called The Birth Book by William Sears MD, it's a little outdated (copywrite without revisions in 1994) but it covers all options as well and is a good book to add to the mix of others!

LOVE that movie!! If I could have a home birth I would, but the only midwife here was booked ? I am still planning an all natural hospital birth and I will speak up this time.
