Man my toddler is getting so hard to get to bed. So many stalling tactics! I’m thirsty, I’m cold, my bed is too comfy!! Yes her bed is too comfy. Like come on kid lol

@jennyrae17, you can try to ask her the things she is afraid of and explain what they are. How old is yours?
@phoebesmommy, yes she has a lot of new fears. But I remember being young with a big imagination and being afraid too. So I don’t want to push aside her fears.
@jennyrae17, we went down that route too but it didn’t help. She had some fears too out of the blue but I know it’s common when their imaginations begin to bloom.
@phoebesmommy, yes I have been trying the taking things away from her if she doesn’t go to bed. But I would like to make bed time positive not negative.
@jennyrae17, I hope it goes well. I think it’s really important for them to not be able to manipulate. W my DD it escalated to her screaming her lungs out if I didn’t lay in bed w her til she fell asleep. It was a rough couple nights but that positive reinforcement plus a new nightlight she got to pick out changed everything
I could have wrote this. My son just came out again saying so after 7 months it’s going to be 2019 mommy? My face 😒 lol Boy go to sleep!
Mine was doing this too but I started a sticker chart for her. Every night she stays in bed the whole night she gets a sticker the next day. 10 sleeps leads to a trip to the dollar tree and she gets to choose whatever item she wants. It has worked well!
@monavidaa, all I hear all day from Olivia is “I’m hungryyy momma” I feel like her waitress and maid most of the time lol
@jennyrae17, seriously Memphis will be red in the face at 5 years old trying to at least squeak out a fart..trying to delay going to bed lol
Mine will says she has to go to the bathroom and you see her sitting there desperately trying to squeak out a fart🙄
