How old were your babies before you switched them to an all in one car seat ? My sons gonna be two months on the fourth…

I waited until 7 months when she had slightly better head control.

Most of my kids were in convertibles from birth.

@squishymommy1, my sister in law did that too but my fiancé is scared I think . @vamommy89, he controls his head REALLY well for his age ! Lol

My daughter around 9 months & my son around 5 months. He was longer than my dd.

It’s totally up to you when to move babe to a convertible seat! You can use them from birth so they’re safe.

I moved my daughter when she was 4mo because she was miserable in her infant seat

I waited until my son maxed out his infant seat (he was big too). I liked the convenience of the infant seat so I didn’t have to wake him when we got places if he had fallen asleep.

I switch at one year even if they haven't outgrown the infant seat.

My son was 9 months and my daughter was 4 months. She hated being in the infant seat.

My daughter is still in an infant seat. They go by weight and height for a reason

All of my kids HATED the infant car seats. I used them until winter was over (because they were convenient to put a blanket over) and then they went in convertibles. So 6-7 months.

I had kept my twins in theirs until they were over a year, but they were tiny, and idk what I would have done with two little babies that couldn't sit up in a shopping cart or something, I loved the snap n go. At 15 months we put them in a rear facing convertible seat, faced them forward at 2.

@jhalsted1995, the convertible seats are also for new borns . Most people just don’t use them for their new borns . No need to get snippy (:

@briannalynn547, I wasn’t getting snippy. Although I can relatively easily. I’m saying there isn’t an age to go by. They go by weight and height so you know what is safe for your child. It’s personal preference I enjoy the ease of the infant car seat especially during nap times

@jhalsted1995, sorry I read the comment the wrong way then . He does nap in his infant car seat well but i think the convertibles recline as far as the infant seats . Not 100 % sure tho

@briannalynn547, I like it because if my daughter falls asleep in the car I can bring her in the store or wherever without disturbing her
