Excuses not to go to bed

I get to hear: I love u mom x 20 goodnight mom x another 20and muahhhhhh x 20 basically until she passes out

The exchange that I JUST had.

4 year old: Mommy I'm thirsty.

Me: It's time to go to sleep.

4 year old: Mommy I think I'm going to have growing pains.

Me: It's time to go to sleep.

4 year old: I'm tired of you saying that.

My other two are great sleepers. Right to bed and not a peep. The 4 year old has been a challenge since the beginning. She always has an excuse. I finally just stopped pushing naps about a month ago because there is no point anymore. It wasn't worth the stress. Now she just has quiet time while her sister sleeps. Sometimes she'll pass out too but it's few and far between.

Omg @britt sorry your dad didn't check your blankets for u lol. Can't think of any right now. My oldest son is usually pretty good when going to bed. We always set a timer for him before bed. We tell him 5 mins to bed and set an alarm. When that alarm goes off he knows it's bedtime so he usually doesn't give excuses lll

I need to clean my room, even though we clean it every night before bed.

My 3 yr old said: Mommy I can't sleep. See I got owwie. I need to go to the doctor.

My niece said she couldn't go to bed once until she went to the doctor cause she had a hole in her butt that needed fixed. ?

My four year old son always says the best things as well.

Not about bed but the other day he was telling me about how bees "colleck-Ed the hun-dees."

He also says "Fark-ED" for farted lol He's gross but I love him so much ????

One time when I was a kid I was trying to go to sleep then I saw a spider. They said no you couldn't have seen a spider it's dark. I saw the spider in the light of the window. To this day they don't believe me. Still makes me mad too.

My mom told my brother, eat before your food gets cold, he said no mom I'm waiting for it to get warm.

4 year olds are so creative. Lol. I've gotten:

Dd: "Mommy, I can't go to bed. Going to bed is poisonous!!"

Dd: "Mommy, I can't go to bed. I'm scared...of mountains...goats...mountain goats..."

True story! When I was little, I went to climb into my bed, and all of these tiny, little lights started dancing all over me!!! It FREAKED ME OUT! I threw my blanket to the floor, and sat there starring at it. No lights.... I got the courage, and picked it up again, the lights came back!!! Darting all over!!!

I threw my blanket and ran down stairs to my dad. "Dad, there's lights getting me!!" I INSISTED! He sent me straight back to bed, where I laid, cold and scared, for the rest of the night. I HATED him for not believing me!!

It was static electricity.

I figured it out yeeeeaaaarrrssss later when I was thinking about it. Because I was obviously, not going to forget such a terrifying night!!

My son has told me that he can't go to bed because his eyes can't close anymore. Yesterday he decided he couldn't eat his lunch because it was so beautiful that if he ate it he wouldn't be able to look at it any more. The things they come up with is hilarious.

Mommy I'm not sleepy that's why I did sleep yesterday then I woke up now I'm not tired. ? lol OK honey

Mommy, daddy eats all the candy when I am sleeping that's why I can't go to sleep then I will have no candy.
