@sparkling - I did use a clear wax overtop of it. Just one coat. I first painted it a dark blue and then put some hair wax along the edges (it was all I had ??). Then I painted the lighter blue and sanded the edges lightly when it dried. It was really easy! My first time using chalk paint
It's called "vintage", but it's chalk paint. Too expensive to put on your walls. However, you could match it in an eggshell. Just go to Home Depot and they can match it with their machine.
