That's incredible! Im glad she chose to keep the baby, but seriously. Does she not know how to use birth control? I don't understand people who use abortion as birth control. Is she going to tell her husband it may not be his? It's so sad to me that some people can have kids no problem who don't really want them, and those,who want nothing more often have trouble.

You're a good friend, but how you bit your tongue with her telling you that at such a horrible time I do not know. You're an inspiration and such a strong, good hearted woman.

I didn't see this until just now and am crying after reading this. I'm so glad she changed her mind. I believe she was meant to talk to you that day even though it was so painful for you to hear her say that stuff. God directed her to you for a reason. ❤️

@sammi - yes, she does have a lot of issues and I've distanced myself from her for a while now. We've been friends since grade school and she has had a very hard life. Both of her parents were addicts and both died when she was a teenager. She has a lot of stuff she needs to work through, I just always try to be there for her because she really hasn't had anyone - not anyone who will speak candidly, truthfully, and lovingly to her all at the same time. I honestly think that's why she called me in the first place, she's always come to me for advice and even though it was THE WORST timing, things seemed very dire.

I cannot imagine having the self-control you had in that situation. As much as I encourage people to stick close to their friends, please be careful with this one. Your hubby sounds like he's spot on and I would be worried about her being clueless/insensitive enough that it would hurt you more or delay your healing. I truly hope after your conversation she learns to just shhh.

I know my best friend called me the day after her 4th 12-14 weem m/c in hysterics bc her friend called all excited that they got to hear HER babies heartbeat (they knew she had went through this not 2 days before).

Some people genuinely don't know when to be quiet or rely on another friend (or perhaps this woman needs a good therapist) or they just don't see anyone's feelings but their own.

I'm glad your son was able to be an example of how precious life is and how wanted many babies are. People sometimes forget that when facing a daunting situation unfortunately but it sounds like you were an amazing example of a friend and mother.

Very true. My dh was gone when she texted that and he came home to me crying. Horribly insensitive of some people.

@liindsey, yes - I've noticed people can say some pretty insensitive stuff. Sometimes I think they just feel like they have to say something - but no, you don't. Staying quiet is sometimes way better!

She said she will keep it. She already has one child so she wouldn't want to give the baby up.

Pp- she said she was getting a divorce. And yes, I was angry at the time. When I told DH, he told me I should never talk to her again, that she had no tact. I said if it made her reconsider, it was worth how painful the conversation was.

I'm pretty sure my sons sometime have the complete opposite effect on people lolll
