7 seater SUVs
Who hear drives an extended SUV with the 3rd row seats? If so, what do you drive and do you recommend it?
I used to have a 2012 highlander it has a 3rd row 7 seater. I liked it but when the 3rd row was up there was literally no trunk. That's the problem with that suv. I couldn't even put my double stroller in the trunk it was that small. Just traded it in for a Honda oddessy. I know u said no mini van but I hear the Toyota mini van has all wheel drive.
2014 Toyota 4Runner. I would recommend it but we only have 1 child. We have not used the 3rd row yet. It's always folded down for the stroller or if we take the dogs somewhere. So I really don't know how to get in or out of the 3rd row lol. Plus when the 3rd row is up your trunk is very small. If we travel with the dogs we use a storage device hooked to the hitch.
We're in the process of buying a new highlander. We're looking at the 7 seater model that has the captain's chairs in the middle row. I also live on a hill with a moderately steep driveway so I needed an all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. Consumer Reports rates the highlander as a Best Buy because of the excellent safety features and crash test ratings. It can be pricey depending on the model, but they hold their value extremely well.
Mazda CX-9. 7 seater, 3rd row. Only downside is if we all go somewhere together we can't go grocery shopping because of the small cargo space when utilizing the 3rd row.
Eta: you can fold down either one seat in the 3rd row, or the middle and other side, and that actually gives it ALOT more cargo space.
I drive a Honda Pilot. AWD. It drives smooth like a car but handles great in the snow (I live in northeast Ohio) it's not very fuel efficient but it does about average for a car of its size. The second row has 3 anchors for car seats and the 3rd row has 1 anchors. The pilot seats 8 passengers. I would def recommend it.
We have an Audi Q7 and absolutely love it. We did a ton of research before we decided on it and with the packages that are included in the price was excellent. Audi also comes standard with a lot of features that we would otherwise have to pay extra for - like all wheel drive, turbo engine, leather seats, etc. There is lots of room and the third row seats have different configurations depending on how you want the space. We're actually thinking of getting a second one so we can have his and hers ;)
We just got a journey and although we only have 2 kids for now, I have my nephew and niece quite often. I can fit 3 car seats in the middle and each seat in the third row can either be up or down. They aren't attached. So even just having 1 side up and 1 down there's plenty of room =). My husband and brother in law have both fit back there for short rides.
I thought long and hard about this because we have 4 in car seats. We ended up getting the new escalade esv. It has a lot of cool features that make driving such a large car more manageable and, most importantly, even when the back seats are being used there is still enough room for two strollers and a whole load of groceries in the trunk!
We've been looking at the suburban, mainly for the extra trunk space. Do any of you ladies have trunk space issues when all seats are up (we'll likely always have all seats up with 4 kids and 3 car seats).
We had a dodge durango with the 3rd row with 4 kids it was quite crowded so now we have the ford excursion and i LOVE it we went with the diesel with how large it is it gets better miliage. Suprisingly it gets better miliage than the durango did.
ETA when we were looking at the excursion we debated on the Yukon xl or suburban what made us go with the excursion was the extra space and towing power. Have yet to haul anything but I'm glad we went with it.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
I have a Honda Pilot that seats 8. I love it. I do wish it had more cargo space but still love it.
