My toddler!!! ??
Every time I think my 4 year old is growing out of the terrible toddler stage, she reminds me that it's not happening! Today was just one of those days where she pushed every button, tested every limit and just down right got into trouble! On top of being mean to her little sister, back talking, and not listening to one thing I said, she also decided that during nap time, she would COVER her room in Vaseline. I honestly don't even know where she got the tub! We just moved so I think it was in a box in the hallway upstairs (not in her room). She covered the floor, the walls, toys, stuffed animals, and her favorite toy - her riding horse! He's ruined and has to go in the trash. It took hours to scrub the toys, walls, and floors! Unfortunately, the oil stained the paint and I can't get her little handprints off the wall! ? We are in a temporary rental and now it seems we have to paint her room.

I'm sorry you had a rough day! That's hard.
I hope you made her help clean until it was done, and that she had to help carry her favorite toy to the trash. I also wouldn't be replacing the damaged toys anytime soon, and there'd be a stern discussion about respecting our things and our home.

go to the library and check out a infant and toddler development book. odds are she hasn't reached the milestone where she will be able to understand discipline. that's just how they learn at that stage, it's good for them. won't be out of toddler until they are good with language.

Omg I would die, my 4 yo pushes every limits somedays too.. Just be happy it was Vaseline & not Vicks cause when I was 3 I covered the room in Vicks ?

She is very good with language. Almost too good, haha! She is just very stubborn and strong-willed. Her strong-will will be a good thing when she's older, I just need to figure out how to get through to her now before I go crazy and my entire house is ruined. ?
And yes, I made her clean up her room and toys with me. And when we take the horse to the trash, I'll make her be there for it (We have to take it to the dump, we don't have trash service where we live.)
