Lol! No - 240 isn't crazy expensive. This house is in the country. Where we live now is expensive, average SFH in the burbs are $400-600K and the closer you get to the city, the more you pay. Row homes in the city are over a million dollars.

$240k is crazy expensive?? Average house where I live sells for 1.2 million in the city and between $650-700k in the burbs. Looks like a great house and love the idea with the ski slope. Would've loved that as a kid!

I'm not sure how you would do the layout. I'm not good in that department ha. My house is small so I'm not sure what I would do with all that space ha. I love that it has a basement though. I've always wanted one but also scared to have one at the same time ha

@kn - you walk in and the dining room is to your right, the kitchen behind that. To the left is a long living room / family room combo. I'm not sure exactly how I will lay it out since, typically the family room would be in the back of the house off the kitchen, but the fireplace is in the front where the living room should be (perpendicular to the window that you can see on the left of the house). Soooo... That's kind of weird. There is also a powder bath off of the family room in the back.

Any ideas on the layout for this combo room? I don't like how the fireplace is in the "living room" but don't want to make that the "family room".

The upstairs has 3 bedrooms, a hall bath and a master bath. The master bedroom has two doors. One door is near the stairs and the other door opens up right near the sliding glass door that leads to the upstairs balcony. I want to turn that little area into a reading nook for the kids.

The basement is unfinished, we will finish it this year and add a 4th bedroom.

We "downsized". We sold our 3200 sq ft house in the burbs on 1/3 acre and bought this 2800 sq ft house on 5 acres for $160K LESS than we sold our house for. All because we moved 30 minutes further out. It's crazy expensive here too!
