Can you have strep and not a fever? My daughter has this rash on her. I noticed it 2 nights ago on her feet and now it's spread up her legs and on her arms. She's talking funny, like her throat is swollen, but she says it doesn't hurt and she has no fever.

My son would complain of stomach aches and not feeling good. His throat wouldn't even be very red. It was to the point where I had to ask for a throat culture to be done. And yes he had strep. He would also get achy joints.

Are you sure it's not a delayed allergic reaction or something?? Especially since you said she's talking funny. My son gets strep all the time. For him, he always gets awful stomach cramps and a high fever. I would probably take her in and just have it checked out. Maybe give her some Benadryl or something too and see if it goes away.

We are going to make an appt in the morning, the doctors are already closed. I just checked her throat and she has white spots on her tonsils and the back of her throat! I am pretty sure it's strep, I just can't believe she is playing and running around like everything is fine! I hope it stays that way until we can get her on some antibiotics.

Fever, and I had a rash like that all over my body

My son will throw up when it goes straight to scarlet fever. He talks and eats fine, just acts like the stomach bug. Many bacteria infections cause nausea and stomach pain when they get bad.
I think this may be an allergy or something else. If its hot, that can make it worse.

I took her to the minute clinic for a throat culture and sure enough, it's strep! Poor little thing!

I've had strep a lot, but I've never seen it with a rash before.
Huh. The things you learn.

Wow. That's crazy. Glad she seems little bothered by it. How old is she. Just curious. Taking mental notes! Hope she is better soon.

When I was a child, strep didn't faze me.
As an adult.. that's a different story. I never remembered it feeling like the flu or throwing up with it. But strep threw me to the ground and slapped me around for a good week.

She's 3. I'm so glad I got her antibiotics because I have a feeling, today would have been bad! She was starting to decline by the time we left CVS.

Wow. I would have been flipping out. She has scarlet fever. I'd be terrified of it moving to rheumatic fever...

Got home today around 2 and the rash is pretty much non-existent now. She's also still feeling good and has her appetite back! So glad I took her last night!
