Yes it's a thing. A super miserable thing. I googled "8-10 month sleep regression" and really liked the advice from weebeedreaming.com. It worked for my 8 month old.
Oops, I mistyped! I nursed her to sleep at first then moved her to her bed. After she woke up, I tried to get her back to sleep by laying her back down in her bed repeatedly, singing to her, rubbing her back, etc. She just kept screaming so I finally gave in and picked her up.
Thanks ladies! I don't remember this with my other two at all. My son was the best sleeper and my other daughter was the worst sleeper, until we hit 9 months and then she finally slept through the night. This DD has been an "Ok" sleeper, just hard to get on a good schedule. But now this, hopefully it will just be a few more weeks!

Rocking her to sleep may be a part of the problem. She is used to that. You have to break her out of it.

Following. Same thing here and she'll be 8 months in 4 days
