Well, hubs came home last night and surprised us all with a gift for the littles to share lol.

Yep, they opened it already... What fun, already posted the video on fb lol.

A bounce house... Yes what fun. Sadly I can't go inside.

@lanie / we are similar export we don't let anyone open anything until after breakfast. LOL! I just love to see the anticipation on their faces until we start! ;-)

We do gifts one at a time on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning everything is from "Santa" and only for the kids so in the past we've just let ds dive right in. This year since we have 2 we may have them take turns.

As kids we would always have a person play "Santa". Santa would pass out a gift to each person and we'd all open them at the same time, but Santa wouldn't pass out any more until everyone was done. I guess I'll keep that tradition going now that I have my own family ?

We have always done one at a time then last year SO 's extended family came down so it took forever. And everyone started tearing into gifts at random. Opening presents took like four hours. It. Was. Awful. It was the first Christmas with all the aunts and cousins in 23 years though. So it was nice for everyone to be together.

My family has always done one at a time and I love it. I put a lot of thought and time into my gifts and I enjoy watching the person open it. My dh's family does a count down and then everyone starts tearing open gifts as fast as possible. I hate it. It is overwhelming especially since he has a large family. I honestly stopped putting so much time and thought into gifts for his family since they don't appreciate it and all the gifts just get thrown to the side. Dh and I do one gift at time at our house as well.

We go to my mil's on Christmas eve. My mil makes all the grand kids (7) do a Christmas play and caroling.

It's the funniest thing bc they are all teenagers now except for my 8 year old. They hate it! , but my husband and his sister and I get a big kick out of it lol. She refuses to let them open anything until they comply.

Then they all rip open the presents in 5 mins.

O and we all wear pajamas. Except for Dh he's a party pooper.

I think next year we will introduce some fun riddle game to guess which presents are for whom. I had friends who did that and it always seemed so fun!

Well it's just DH, myself and our 12 month old so we just give one present at a time and that person opens their present. At other Christmases we just pass out the presents and everybody rips them open lol.

All the gifts get passed out, then everyone rips everything open in 5 seconds.

We take turns. It takes FOREVER because there's 5 kids in my family and now my daughter.

And if somebody gets a book, chances are they will disappear to go read and then we are further delayed.

All book shaped presents must be opened last!

This way someone can write down what everybody gets so we can do thank you notes.

Lol, right.

We do it one at a time. This year for us was way better than last year. We had to suddenly move last year so they only got 1-2 things each. This year they for more.

So yes one at a time, there's usually a trick in there somewhere too. We are clowns.
