Sick Kiddos! :-(
Both of my girls have RSV. I took the newborn to the ER last night and both of them to the doctor today. My 3 year old's pulse ox was low so we have to do neb treatments. My newborn ALSO has double ear infections!! They quickly checked her ears last night so I guess they missed it. Poor baby has been so miserable all day and she would just start screaming like she was in pain. Well, no wonder! ? I have to take her back to the doctor tomorrow to check her lungs because apparently RSV gets worse before it gets better.
Took her back to the doctor today and it's moved down into her lungs. I have to take her back to the doctor tomorrow afternoon and if she's not better, then it's time for the hospital. :-(
Did any of your kids puke a lot? My 9 week old has thrown up quite a bit. ?
Hang in there mama and just keep an eye on the babies breathing. I had to take my daughter in to the dr for 5 days in a row to check her oxygen levels. They ended up sending us to the er once because her levels were low but she was never admitted to the hospital. She was on oxygen at home though. She was already on the oxygen for her sleep apnea and combined with the RSV I was terrified. The things that helped her the most were doing saline drops and suctioning her nose and having her sleep upright. I could not lay her down because she would just cough and cough. I spent the nights holding her while I sat in a recliner.
Now I'm even more scared! :-(
They didn't hospitalize her because her oxygen levels were good and she's eating and wetting diapers. Her symptoms just started yesterday. The only reason I took her in was because of a fever (since she's only 9 weeks old, even low grade fevers are a cause for concern).
That's why my doctor wants to see her again tomorrow just to keep an eye on her lungs. She said right now it's all still up in her sinuses and it's going to move into her lungs. I'm so scared for my baby!
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
Good morning ladies. Sorry I been ignoring yall but I have been so miserable the past days I'M STILL PREGNANT my contractions would be strong for hours and it looked like I was gonna have a baby then everything just stopped so I got sent home. they said I have to wait till my appointment Wednesday so I can talk to my doctor about the next step. I HATE THIS 😢😢😩
What is it like to have a c-section? I was told by my doctor I would likely have one so I am kinda nervous.😯😯
Anyone have any tips, tricks and/or suggestions on what I can buy or do to prevent my newborn from rolling onto her side? The last two days that we’ve been home, I lay her swaddled flat in her bassinet and when I go to check on her, she’s on her side. I hate worrying about things and I’m really worried about this…
Poor baby girl. Hope she improves quickly.
