Wow I'm completely opposite..my hair gets so greasy now that I'm preggo I only use shampoo, if I put conditioner it looks like I didn't shower in two days
I have this sulfate-free co-wash cleanser from Sally's beauty supply. It sort of suds up and gets my hair really clean and but leaves it soft with just the right amount of moisture, not that greasy feeling.I'll message you the name of it when I get home.
Also idk if it makes a difference but I'm black with coily and wavy hair (two textures ?), but it's not a product specifically for black people.
I stopped using regular shampoo over a year ago and started using sulphate free shampoo instead, cleansed just as well, but for the last 2 months or so I've been using baking soda + water mix as well as calcium bentonite clay- great natural cleanser for skin too. ACV is really good too. my hair is super curly and has never looked or felt healthier than it does now. There are lots of all natural product lines like Kinky Curly, Deva Curl, Tresseme Naturals. Most commercial hair products leave your hair stripped of its natural oils and are usually full of carcinogenic chemicals/ ingredients. It took about a month for my hair and scalp to get used to the baking soda/deep condish/clay routine btw hope you find a good alternative OP :-)
I know that! Lol I thought you only thought you could wash with shampoo.
*whew that's a lot of thought processes*
I did baking soda and water to cleanse, Apple cider vinegar to condition. Worked well but the lack of any scent left me smelling like wet dog when my hair was wet. I did love how my hair felt, though. Super healthy. I still use this method about once a month because of that.
If it's still feeling dirty you can use apple cider vinegar on your head it's great for cleansing. I don't do completely no poo. I get a good shampoo at least once a month and condition every 2-3 days.
You dont use shampoo but you still wash your hair. You can use baking soda and water to wash it but you definitely still wash your hair
What are you washing your hair with? Conditioner doesnt really wash it, it just adds more crap into your hair.
Wouldn't this just leave your hair greasy looking after every shower?
I've been looking for a new shampoo and conditioner for my hair since it's so thick and wavy, mine always ends up knotted after showers.
What’s your take on vaccinations? Some people think they do more harm to the baby than good .. personally I don’t know , but I would love some insight.

I've been using a cleansing conditioner, it's just like a co-wash. It's a different type of conditioner that cleanses as well. I love my hair the day of! It looks to great, strong, and my split ends have basically disappeared, it's just by day 2 that it looks a little more rough, by day 3, I look like a homeless person! LOL! I was using a sulfate free shampoo and conditioner before as well and could go 3-4 days without washing my hair.
I think I'll try the ACV! What is this clay you speak of, pp?
