Cheapest DH Ever!!! I married the cheapest man. This was our text conversation today.

My dad was the same way, I remember being in the car when we were kids & complaining about how hot it was and he would never turn on the AC because it uses up all the gas.

I do that without even think about it. My husband is always telling me to turn on the AC.

Mythbusters did a show on this. You use roughly the same gas when your driving at high speeds with using the a/c or leaving the windows open. So it's really a wash

40 mph or less Windows down saves a little more gas. 40 mph and up you save a little more with Windows up.

My husband is a limo driver when he's making over $30 an hour sitting in a car he turns the car off so he doesn't waste gas. It's like 100 degrees. So cheap!! Btw; $30/hr is for charter jobs(jobs which he has to wait for his customer, which charges hourly)

Your husband should watch myth busters. They proved that it's a myth it doesn't use up more gas to use ac in a car.

My FIL is like that. He's too cheap to run the AC in his own house...I'm 31 weeks pregnant and it will be 85 INSIDE and he doesn't care.

When we visited the other weekend he wouldn't turn on the AC so I sat in my car with it full blast until DF was ready to go home.
