KSP608!!
How are you and the babies doing? I was following all your posts but haven't seen you post in a week. Just wanted to make sure everything is alright! Praying for you, momma!
ksp608...Praise God that you and babies are all okay! He is watching over you all! I will have to check out your other posts, but seeing near death experience sounds terrifying. I have been praying for you all and so happy to hear all is better! Your mom seems like a doll too...the apple doesn't fall far from the tree! :-) Lots of love to you sweetheart!!
Hi ladies. It's Nana. KSP608 started bleeding on Sunday and is on bed rest and meds for a blood infection unrelated to babies. We have five babies with strong heartbeats but mom is not feeling too well. She will be back on soon. She wanted me to tell you she misses everyone but has joined the bed rest club early.
I am so glad to hear all the babies are healthy! Don't be discouraged about what the doctors may tell you! God is a miracle worker! He gave those babies to you for a reason and he will take care of all of them as he has a plan and a purpose for them. Just remember to keep your faith in Him and cast your worries on Him and He will see you through! Without a doubt! :-) Thank you for updating! I am praying for you and your little ones!
After a very long day its so refreshing to come home, check this forum, and see such encouragement. I took my Momma and MIL with me today, since the DH had to work. It was my MIL's birthday. It was also her first time going to an appointment with me. Our first visit was to the regular OB. The US tech had such a blast doing the US, and everyone looked great. She even ask if she could put a picture up on her board in her office. Definately not something you get to do everyday. This was her first quint US. My OB explained that I would soon be turned over to the Peri, and as you all know, meeting a new doctor is horrible. I was very worried they would try to push the reduction issue again.
The Peri also did an US, but we were able to actually hear the heartbeats. Instant water works from all three of us, and each time they would switch to another one, the tears would start back up again. It was hilarious to watch my Momma and MIL trying to record the audio of the heartbeats on their phones! All five were moving around like children laying in the floor throwing temper tantrums. I think they may have been having a party in there! Truly a miracle! I cannot explain how amazing it was. I just hate that DH wasn't able to hear them.
There are three Peris in this practice. I met two of them today. They were very cautious about telling me all the possible outcomes. I am usually someone who wants all the facts, no matter how hard they may be to digest. But the second one I met was a little too honest for my tastes. I know he meant well, but he wasn't near the optimist that I need right now.
I left feeling ecstatic for hearing the heartbeats, but also very discouraged at the picture he had painted at the road ahead. My OB thinks I can make it to 30 weeks, the Peri was certain it would be the viability stage of 27 weeks, and we would be left with little hope of bringing them home.
I know it's just the devil working on me. Trying to get in my head and poison my thoughts. It is a very real possibility, but one I don't want or need to hear anyone preaching to me.
I really hope you ladies know just what your support, prayers and kind words mean to me. I have a list of people I've met here that I pray for every day. Mostly I thank Him for bringing you all into our lives, and that He bless you equally as much as He has us. Without your support I would stay frustrated, fighting off the devil.
ksp608....Good luck at your appt today! I am praying that all will go well! Praying for your visit with the peri. also! I know them throwing numbers at you can be tough so I pray that the doc will be hand picked by God for you and that you can show what a wonderful example you are to them (just as you have shown us here on this forum)! I want you to know I appreciate your prayers for me! It means a lot to know that you would take the time and I will take any prayers anytime!! :-)
You picked out 5 of each...that is so great! I am happy to hear you don't plan on finding out the sexes! It will be one surprising day when they arrive! It is so fun to find out at delivery! It is really hard during ultrasounds to stay strong and say don't tell us the sexes...I struggle with it every time! We only found out with our second...because it was kind of obvious he was a boy! I was 30 some weeks though!
I am due Oct 27th, but given my prior history on deliveries I will probably go between 36 and 38 weeks! My blood pressure gets high toward the end with every pregnancy so they tend to get things moving along a little early! Maybe we will deliver the same day...wouldn't that be something?!
I am glad you aren't worried about raising these sweet bundles! You will do great I am sure! They will always have each other to entertain! I am sure it will be a little trying at first, so get all the help lined up extra hands to do lots of household things and baby care...I am sure you will have lots of people willing to help...take them up on it! Grocery shopping is not too hard...I do it with more than 5! Although mine are all different ages...the funniest thing is people looking! Wow that's a lot of kids, is it a birthday party, are they all yours, you have your hands full, etc!! Comments can be fun! I don't even think about all the kids following me until people start looking...then I remember oh ya they aren't used to seeing this every day! And then there are all the people from the community that we do know that don't even think twice!
Lots of love to you today and every day! I will be praying! :-)
1me, I rarely consider myself as 'strong.' I've had many people ask me what we're going to do, or how we're going to handle five. I've been totally unconcerned about raising five, and scared to death about getting them all here safely. I usually just tell people "What's the alternative? Abortion?" I feel that every child is a blessing. We never planned to have this many children, but if this is what God has in store for us, then we should feel five times as blessed!
Never try to change or control those things you cannot change or control. Instead of worrying about two/five screaming babies, college funds, diapers, etc., focus those energies on what you can control. Like making sure you give your little ones the healthiest possible chance on life. It won't be easy, but neither is having one. Placing things in God's hands and coming to peace with any possible outcome is the only thing that's kept me stress free.
There are still times I have my little 'freak outs.' Going to the grocery and contemplating taking five children with me can be overwhelming. Instead I just laugh and think about how lucky I will be to have five healthy children who can destroy a grocery store. :)
Well ladies... Tomorrow is my first official 'baby' appointment. Just had the viability scans up to this point. I've heard that first visit can be quite an experience. I also go meet the Perinatologist tomorrow afternoon. I'm slightly nervous about this one, just because it's completely new to me. Anyone have any suggestions? I've had a few premonitions (I guess that's the right word) about things the past two weeks. Can't really explain why. I'm sure its just the usual hormone 'crazies.' Has anyone ever went to a Peri before? I'm taking my MIL, and it's her birthday, so I thought it would be nice for her to see all the little flutters for herself. Oh I'm rambling! Nervous Nelly! Nervous Nelly!
I am so glad to hear how faithful you are! God really is good! You are so blessed with these 5 little bundles! Oh my! I can't wait to hear about your journey with these little ones! :-D
Sweet, we've actually managed to pick 10 names, 5 boy & 5 girl. Still don't think we'll find out though. People say its so much easier, but when you're expecting 5 at once, having gender appropriate clothing is the least of your worries. I haven't been given an 'official' due date. Had it been a singleton it would have been 12-18. My doctor said to shoot for 30 weeks, which will be the first of October, but I'm praying to keep them in until Halloween!
I think about you so often and have such admiration for you. I pray for you daily and look forward to tracking our progress together. When are you due? I can't imagine 12, but then again, I couldn't imagine 5 a few months ago! :) It's inspirational to know you've had atleast 11 date nights with your husband since your first little one! LOL! God IS wonderful! Finally reaching that point of being 100% at peace with Him and what He's given me is absolutely the thing I cherish most in life. If things took a drastic turn for the worst tomorrow, I would still feel so blessed that He loved me enough to bless me with these miracles!
Ksp608....the bump has arrived! How exciting! I am so happy for you guys! I wonder what sexes they will all be? You will get to choose 5 names! You have so much to look forward to! The gas....I can only imagine! You poor thing! (or maybe your poor husband) lol! You are funny about the hair cut....much less work and cooler for summer will be good! I know you will most likely deliver early, but what did they list as your "due date"? I wonder if you will be delivering around the time I will be having my 12th?! It will be fun to be following your progress! God is so good isn't He? Lots of love to you today...keep on posting we are all so fascinated by your miracles! :-) p.s. Time alone with hubby is special and I promise you after the babies are born there will come a time when you will again have alone time! Hence us being on our 12th! ;-)
Thanks so much Sweetlittleones! I've read about the H. Pylori and it makes complete sense. The down side to my chest pain is that my father has heart disease, so everytime I fart and get chest pains my doctor's have recommended I go in for an EKG. The Prilosec really seemed to help today. Just another pill to add to the daily meal of prenatals, supplements, etc. The excess gas is unbelievable! And I can't imagine how bad it will be in the months to come.
On another note... The bump has officially arrived. I realized today that it definately isn't constipation or gas. I also broke down and got the typical "first time mom" shorter hair cut. I almost felt guilty because I usually grow it out long enough to donate, but I just couldn't wait this time. My hair is super thick so I can donate enough for 4 people usually. It was nice to pamper myself a little. I feel like each day I have those special moments alone or with my husband that I'm counting down to the days where I'll never be able to enjoy an uninterupted moment again! Ahhh, the simple things in life!
So wonderful! Just a thought...I get chest pains since I was little! It is gerd - basically reflux that is bad! I didn't get heartburn symptoms as much as the chest pain so never occurred to me that it could be this. I had barium testing done and massive amounts of acid was coming up! I felt like I was having heart attacks and sometimes the pain lasted for hours. It was right in my sternum area. Stress also will cause the chest wall to inflame! Anyway I take ranitidine (prescription zantac) and mallox if I get heartburn! Has helped a ton and safe for pregnancy...have used it since my 5 th child!. I wonder if having extra pressure on your stomach with growing uterus could be causing these type of symptoms! Sometimes a cold pack would help on the area when I was little! Even had to breathe through the pain! Lots of love to you and those precious miracles! I pray and think of you, your husband, and your sweet ones often! :-)
You girls are so sweet! Its been a wild ride but I find complete peace putting things in God's hands. Had a bout of chest pains yesterday. After tons of tests it isn't my heart. I was sure it was stress, although I have no idea what I'd be stressed about. LOL! OB suspects its an ulcer, but can't treat it too effectively for another 6 months or so. Looks like I'll be investing in lots of Prilosec. How is everyone else doing? I love hearing about everyone.
Oh yay! I'm so glad to hear all things are well with you and the babies! God has just blessed you so much although I am sure it's a "bit" overwhelming! :-) Keep updating, I want to know how those little ones are growing!
Hey guys! So great to see this post! I'm 9w tomorrow. Went last Tuesday (8w) and all the beans were looking good. Won't go back till the 23rd for another US. The wait is killing me! Still no morning sickness. I hate saying that since I see so many struggle with a singleton. I actually think I feel better pregnant than I ever have in my life! OB seems hopeful that I'm a good candidate for HOMs. Now if I could just combat this fatigue! How re you guys doing?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
