As long as the cough fluids are alcohol free their fine. And pain pills can just be tylenol.

I had a cold last week called up my Dr. they were more than happy to give me a list of acceptable medicines to take.

The pharmacist said all I could take was Tylenol and use vicks vapor rub! llllllaaaaaaammmmmeeeeeee.....

Benadryl helped me.

Sudefed is safe but when you get it from the pharmacy (behind the counter) ask the pharmacist how many you can take. Benedryl is ok too. I'm taking both now but I'm heading back to see the nurse at a take care clinic because I think I'm developing sinusitis which I typically get around this time of the year. It requires an antibiotic so she'll have to look up which one is ok and write a script.
