how do u know.
How do u know when ur marriage is over like when the other person has given up and is just staying for the kids. Little back story my husband told me about 3 weeks ago that our marriage isn't what he thought it would be and asked his dad(in private his dad mentioned it to me) how do you know if u want to be married anymore . Well the past few days and until Tuesday I'm at my parents house pet sitting while their in Vagas and we have barely spoken to each other I've reached out and tried but get 1 word comments or if we talk on the phone he seems uninterested in talking to me. He hasn't said I love you to me in I can't even say how long but I will tell him I love him and he just doesn't say it back. He's not asking about our son or asking how I'm feeling (I'm 31 weeks pregnant) and last night he called asking us to come stay with him bc he was going out of town for work so we met up for dinner and he talked and played with our son for a good bit of dinner never spoke to me just played on his phone if he wasn't talking to our son and once we got home it was the same except he just went to the bedroom and stayed in there the rest of the night. I asked him to give our son a bath (he's 2) and he came up with excuses as to why he couldn't . Well he fell asleep so I got our son to bed and went to try to cuddle and be intimate since u know we wouldn't be able to for a while since he's going out of town for work well he just rolled over and went back to sleep. Idk I just don't feel like he really wants this anymore and I'm not sure exactly how to have a serious conversation about it like where to start or if I'm just over reacting since i am extremely pregnant at this point and my hormones are raging.... any advice

Marriages go through dips, thats not really a reason to divorce or end the marriage. Marriage is agreeing to stick together through all the ups and downs and fall back in love over and over. Plus he is prob just as stressed about the baby as you. If you cant talk to him by yourself you should get some couple counseling or read a book together, like His Needs Her Needs or Love&Respect

I talked to him a little and he said he just doesn't feel a connection anymore. That he doesn't want things to be over but he doesn't know what else to do.

Life is too short to screw around in limbo. Ask him straight out. "Is it my pregnancy hormones or do we need to have a serious conversation about the state of our marriage?" This isn't just about him and what he wants, you are in this marriage too and you have needs. You wanted to cuddle and he turned away you need attention and affection and he doesn't just get to behave like a child and dismiss your needs. Address the issues, open lines of communication and get to the bottom of this. Be open and honest and invite him to do the same. Seeking professional help is always an option.
