Let baby sleep?

When did you ladies start letting your babies sleep through the night? My daughter just turned 3 weeks and i still wake and BF her every 3 hours. This morning she will not wake up and eat! She seems so tired. Should I just let her sleep? She has more than enough wet diapers.

After the first week my doc said to let him sleep. I would still wake him if he went near 5 hours but now he is 7 weeks and sleeps 4-6 at nighttime!

I would definitely let her sleep. Maybe not more than like 6 hours but that's great. Wish mind would do that at night. Mine wakes up like clock work lol

Let her sleep and try to relax if she's past birth weight. You are about to go thru a growth spurt.

I never woke my kids up. No point, if they're hungry they will wake up. My doctor saw nothing wrong with it bc they gained weight on time

I never woke my daughter to eat from the time she came home from hospital. She has slept from between 8-10pm until 5-7am

They told me at the hospital to let her sleep. (Which I would've anyway, I did the same with my first.) I was concerned because I'm new to the breast feeding thing and she went six hours her second day with waking. I even tried to wake her, stripped her down, skin to skin, tickled her, made her uncomfy. Nothing worked. But nope, they said she was fine! Get your sleep while you can momma!

Thanks for the advice ladies. I just wanted other mamas advice on what you all do :) I'm gonna see how long she can sleep tonight without me waking her. We are both so tired from waking up constantly to feed

I feel you on being tired. It's very hard yet rewarding.

We let our little man sleep since like a week old. He eats a ton during the day and has gained 2lb in a month so I'm not worried. His sister we had to wake but she was born early and at 5lb6oz and just didn't really care about eating. Felt like we had to force her and even then she hardly gained any weight. It just depends on the baby.

My girl is 3.5 weeks and she SOMETIMES sleeps for 6 hours at night. Usually about 4 and sometimes 5 but I let her sleep.

So my baby is 8 weeks old and is thriving with weight gain each doctors visit. So here is my question: around 4-5 hours at night for sleep she wakes up every night and sucks on her thumb. (She finally this week likes it to soothe her during nap times) her eyes are still closed and she moves around and sucks it. I wake her to feed her. My question is should I just let it go? And see if she is just soothing herself to sleep? I don't want her to stave by morning if she sleep a couple of more hours. What would you guys do?

I just absolutely love some women on here! Some woman wants to write on another women's post telling her she shouldn't be having sex at all in the beginning of pregnancy. I didn't know she was her doctor. Then she wants to tell me that the first trimester is only 1-9 weeks pregnant. And she lost her baby at 4 weeks pregnant due to sex. Like sweetie that's your period starting!
