Mommyxcore baby needing more milk as they get bigger is a myth. If they are formula fed yes... breastfed no. Breastmilk changes with the baby.

If you thaw out in the refrigerator then yes pour what you need then keep the rest cold. After its thawed in the refrigerator (cold) it's good for 24 hours. If you thaw it under warm water then I don't think you can keep it/store it again.

I do 5-6 ozs in each bag. I can pump 5 ozs out of each breast, so I figure I can pump half of it out and leave the other half for baby. I don't plan on using the milk till later on anyways, so since he will be bigger and need more milk, then I don't want to be wasting bags by using two at a time... They last in the freezer for about 5 months so I say fill them!

My LO also drinks 2-3 oz I jus put 3 oz in each back then wen it's time for feeding I place in warm to hot water to warming the milk . It would waste milk to fill the bag an baby only eats 2-3oz I think once it's been thawed I think it's no good after tht an can only sit out hour after bcus bacteria will grow . Thts what my midwife says

I put 2 oz in a bag. I rather buy more bags than waste milk. Bags are easily replaceable. Milk isn't always so easy to come by

I put two to three ounces per bag with an occasional four. Just to cut down on waste. That's liquid gold! We don't want to waste any of it.

Put 2 to 3 in the bags so there is less likely hood to waste any and it's less likely for a bag to bust. Most bags say they are able to store high amounts but that is unfrozen. Frozen milk expands and the bag can pop open during thawing out.

I bottle feed breast milk all the time. So it's safe to just thaw out a whole bag and only use what I need and refrigerate whatever is left in the bag?

If your planning on bottle feeding breast milk more than one session then fill the bag. If it's only a once in a while one time feeding do smaller bags. I did all small amounts with my son last time and it was a waste. Now I'm filling the bags. They get expensive. I have almost 300oz frozen all in 6oz increments.
