Up 30 lbs ?
Went to the doctor today and yup.... I've gained 30 pounds already. I'm 22w1d. My doctor is not worried at all. I was on phentermine pills (diet pills that help decrease appetite) before I got pregnant so my body was used to only eating once a day but I stopped taking them as soon as I thought I was pregnant. So now my body is just in shock with eating 3 meals plus snacks a day. I'm just like WOW 30lbs! I gained 45 with my first but I was heavier to start with my first . Oh well. Who else has gained this much?
Ive gained 25lbs..I appreciate all of you and your honesty...I hate reading all the post with people losing weight or hardly gaining any..I try to eat very healthy but I just always gain a ton..this is my fourth pregnancy and I gain 50lb each time then go back to my normal weight around 6 months
I started at 178 and last visit I was 201 :( ..... dr hasn't said anything ... my thighs however wont shut up and my ass keeps reminding me every day as I walk .... lol. My face has gotten quite round as well. Ih well ...gonna have to work extra hard when baby comes. Look on the bright side ladies ...we r due in april ...we can walk it off.
I gained 20 pounds :( I was so happy I only gained 10 pounds at 24 weeks but last 2 weeks I gained 10 pounds I'm hoping it's just cos baby had a growth spurt because I can still fit most of my clothes. I am hoping I will slow down for the last 12 weeks. My thighs are starting to rub together :(
Soo glad I'm not alone. Went to my apt last wk at 23 wks and I've gained exactly 20lbs already! Mentioned to my midwife that I was concerned and she said no need to be whatsoever that I was about 6lbs underweight when I started. She also mentioned that it was the first time she was able to do babies fundal measurements. She mentioned the combo of Breastfeeding, Working out, and continuing eating healthy it'll come right off just as it did with my 1st! It's Scary seeing those #s tho! Thank you for sharing! ?
I'm 25 weeks and 3 days and I've only gained 7 pounds thus far. Which is more then I gained with my son around this time. I only gained 10 pounds with my son and that was 3 weeks before he was born. If I hadn't known I was pregnant, I literally could have been one of those women on that show I didn't know I was pregnant. I had no symptoms, no cravings, and he never moved!
Im just happy to be pregnant. My husband and I had a hard time trying to conceive and now this whole weight thing doesn't really get to me since I know how badly my baby was wanted. Id do anything for my baby. Even if it means gaining a lot of weight. I know I can get it all off once she's here. :)
Yup! We all already feel huge. The last thing in the world we need is other women and mouthy nurses giving such negative feedback. As long as your doctor and common sense say you are fine then you are! You have a life time to worry over your weight this shouldn't be the time or place for it unless there is a diagnosed problem. Be big round and proud!
Ya our lifestyle and diet before we got pregnant plays a HUGE factor on how much weight we gain. I just can't believe how some women can be so judgmental about it. As long as my doctor says I'm healthy and my baby is healthy then I'm happy. No one really likes to gain weight but it's a sacrifice we make for our babies
Hey! I think you heard my story on an earlier blog this morning. You are doing fine! You look healthy and your doctor said everything is good that is all that matters. Ignore the numbers and the women who don't understand that everyone is different and can't always fit the norm. I have gained 25 pounds but I don't look it at all me and my baby are very healthy. The weight gain was simply me going from a highly athletic training and restrictive diet lifestyle to being healthy but eating much much more and a less vigorous activity level. I am sure my weight gain will actually slow later in pregnancy some women put all the weight on up front from a drastic lifestyle change like ours. Others it is the opposite because they really aren't doing anything much different then they would normally do not pregnant. It makes a huge difference.
It's amazing how all of us gain weight differently. People tell me it doesn't look like I've gained that much and it's all in my tummy. I'm sure they are just trying to be nice since I've noticed I've gained weight all over lol
Up 21 lbs at 21 weeks and I'm sure it is more by now. My dr. Told me to start exercising more because it's too hard to control the food part when you are prego. I'm trying not to stress out about it but it does get to me a little so I'm so glad I'm not the only one. Thank you for posting!!!
Ya we need a support group especially after we have our babies lol my doctor is not concerned in the least bit which makes me feel better :) how many of y'all are going to breastfeed?
I gain a little bit with my first and with my second I gained almost double and then my third I gained around the same with my first after I lost a bunch. With this one I am only up 4 lbs I am trying to stay under 10 lbs gained because I was extremely overweight before I got prego this time.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️
I started at 165, worked out a ton, but stopped once I found out I was pregnancy, they would have been too intense of workouts and I was too sick! Now at 26+3 I've gained 29 :/ I hope it comes off easier this time than my last two!
