VBAC :/
My first, I went into labor naturally at 38w2d. I was so happy I didn't have to be induced and the baby came out when he was ready. I ended up getting a c-section because my son got stuck. Well now I want a VBAC with this one and my doctor said she can't tell me if I can have a VBAC til I'm 37 weeks. So now I have no idea what I'll be having. I want to start mentally preparing myself for a c-section or a VBAC and now I have to wait to find out. It sucks so much not to know ?

I would start mentally preparing for a vbac, but know that a c-section is possible. Keeping your mond positive for a vbac can have an effect on your body to where your body may decide before your doctor does.

I'm the same boat hunny except I went into labour at 40w6d with my first only got to 6cm and didn't progress so due to fetal distress it was a c-section... I'm going to try for a VBAC with this baby my ob said things don't look good but we will assess at 37w I'm prepared to fight for my vbac so be very well informed about your vbac and know what to expect and what to do and always be opened minded that it could end up in a c-section but at least then you know that you tried good luck with your journey hunny can't wait to see how your labour goes ? when are you due

I just really hope I can have a VBAC! My last c-section was not bad but took a long time to recover. Plus my husband is going to only have 12 days off from work then leaves and I still have a two year old to take care of. He's not home often so I'm just worried about the recovery. My due date keeps changing but according to my LMP my due date is April 24. My doctor already said if I don't go into labor at 39 weeks then she'll induce or schedule me a c-section by then :(

I am due with my second January 29th and I am planning for a VBAC. I've been reading a lot to prepare myself and be as informed as possible.... Everything I've read is to NOT be induced after a c-section because it can increase your risks for uterine rupture.. I would research it more to be sure you want induction as an option. Good luck!!!

I had a c-section with my first. I was 40w3d. I pushed for 3 hours and he didn't move any lower. Had to get the c-section due to me having a fever and baby's heart rate was high. Ended up having almost a 9 lb baby. Pregnant with baby#2 now, Doc said I'm a good candidate for VBAC as long as this baby isn't as big as last one. I know there is still a chance for a c-section. Crossing my fingers to have a VBAC! Don't want to be away from my son that long. We've never spent the night apart! Good luck to you all. Hoping we can get successful VBAC's!

How you ladies feeling... Hoping we all rock our VBAC my Ob is really happy to go ahead with my VBAC so far as baby is head down and average size he just wants to make sure my cervix is favorable and it's all good his not pushy on time limits or anything and even said not to race to the hospital so im over the moon... Hope your journeys are just as amazing x

Make sure to look up how to tell if your care provider is VBAC *friendly* vs. VBAC *tolerant*. It sounds like some of the doctors mentioned on this post are preparing to pull a bait and switch, which is common.

I'm not sure if they are vbac friendly or tolerant at my clinic. They seem c-section happy but then after the first they tell everyone about vbacs. I'm really hoping for a vbac, and my doctor has been fine with it. I haven't been given any restrictions on when I need to go into labor, or anything like that. In fact other than when asked if I was interested in a vbac and signing my consent form my doctor has mentioned nothing about the birth. I've not been pressured into thinking I need a c-section. So I'm hopeful about it. Unfortunately when I go into labor I'll get whatever doctor is there but I hope I either get my current doctor or the first doctor I had when I went in with my daughter almost 2 years ago. Really hoping not to get my old doctor or the one that pushed me to have pitocin which ultimately lead to my c-section.

My doctor already scheduled me a c-section on April 16. I was kinda bummed but I'm ok. I don't know if she's doing it as a convenience for her or what. I just want my baby to come out healthy and that's all that matters. Best of luck to all of yall who are having a VBAC :)
