My son had something similar it started like in the picture but the next day it felt like sandpaper I took him to the Dr the same day I noticed - it was scarlet fever... very contagious. I hope is not your case

It is caused by strep throat

My son developed the rash 5 days after we traveled to TX in Airplane.

Took him to the Drs, it's a viral rash!

My kids have never inched when they had a viral rash. They didn't seem bothered by it at all. It doesn't look like HFM to me either. It clears in a few days with my kidlets if it is a viral thing

Is this over the entire body?

Is it hot at all where you live ,

Is it possible that is heat rash?

My kids get that sometimes

Did you use any detergent that's different or body wash?

Your Dr is probably right but those are other possibilities

It's viral . I think you spell it roceiella. It last up to a week usually not itchy. If it is the doc told us to use the benadryl clear cream

Do they do anything for the rash? It isn't itchy, he hasn't acted any different than usual.

It looks viral. My kiddos have gotten a viral rash before during cold season. I would still have him checked
