Babies r us prices are $75.00 for 60 days $140 for 90 days it's $180. I believe that is for the US so im not sure about Canada.

My insurance paid for a pump...

Luhrs- the pumps you are talking about at babies r us, hospitals ect... Are medical grade pumps. They have a closed system as where store bought ones have an open system. I looked into renting from babies r us and it's not worth the money. It's very pricey to rent from them.

@maddyson7 I will have to buy used or rent one as well, because I can not afford 200-300 in a sitting...as for cleanliness if it's not good to do even after replacing parts then why would hospitals, wic, babies r us etc rent them or loan them? Just curious...maybe they have a system to cleaning them? I will have to look into it....

@maddyson- I'm not sure if you ever travel into the states but when I worked at the local mall I know a lot of Canadians come over to do shopping. Could you possibly make a trip to the states to save some money?

I think the fact that I saved 97 dollars on a brand new pump is pretty awesome. You don't know the germs someone else has.

I was told Manuel pumps were not for everyday use. I asked around and decided the Medela is the one I wanted.

There are other inexpensive pumps out there as well. I got a first years single electric pump for like 30$ on Amazon and it worked super well. Manual pumps are cheap too. I liked the Avent manual one a lot.
