I'm too big?
My feelings got a little hurt when my MIL, mom and SIL all told me at different times that I'm big for 5 months pregnant. Since my last appt only a month ago I only gained 8lbs. This is my second pregnancy. Should I be concerned? When I was pregnant with my first I hardly put on weight this far along because of the morning sickness. My dr hasn't said anything about how much weight I've put on but my feelings were hurt. Sorry that I'm all over the place with this post.

Everyone is different. Don't let them get to you. Only be concerned if you dr tell you to be concerned. Everything else is just opinion.

People are a****** s ignore them. I am sure your fine enjoy your pregnancy and ignore the jerks. They as woman should know better than to say that to a sensitive pregnant mom.

I would ignore them. Easier said then done i know. With my second pregnancy and with this one i showed quicker each time as my body knew what to do etc. But then it slowed in the last half. Also with each baby you can carry differently which will also lead to you showing differently. I am 24 weeks and have gain about 12 lb and my midwife is good with it. So i wouldnt worry. As long as baby is healthy and growing everyone else should keep their comments to themselves.

Thank you ladies for your encouraging words! They feel the need to bring up how they didn't show for a while. My mom said "I didn't show with you till I was 7 months" as I think to myself. Oh I forgot we are the same person so I should carry the way you did?!

Im 25 weeks and I've put on 30lbs. But this is very common in my family, we see a positive test and look 9 months the next day. Lol everyone, every pregnancy is different. You shouldn't be concerned unless your doctor is.

Make sure you let the know they look old for their ages.
Just kidding...kinda.

Are either of them doctors? No? Does your doctor tell you that you are big? No? Then you're not big. Women for some reason think when someone is pregnant it's ok to say their opinions and rag on us. We have the hormones to tell them to stfu!

@wyo- lol that would take them all by surprise if I came out and said that! But I bet they would know how I feel! Too bad I'm too nice to say something like that. Lol

Eh tell them to shove it! And I agree w Wyo, tell them they look old for their age. If they act offended, just say (innocently) "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought we were playing state the obvious" Gah I'm horrible. Then again my dad called me during my pregnancy to 'make sure I was ok' as he had heard I was 'getting pretty big and still working full time' my response was a confused sort of 'yeah...women get big during pregnancy, and I work at a desk'
Bottom line: people suck and need to keep opinions about your pregnant body to themselves, or else be hit with rude comments about themselves.

Women usually show more and sooner after their first pregnancy!
Its completely normal that you're looking bigger this time around. Baby bumps are beautiful, they shouldn't be putting you down for it!
What you're feeling is totally normal, just love your bump and don't listen to them!

This is my third and I am pretty big too, my baby is healthy and growing right on track, that is all that matters.

I've been tiny for how far along I am this whole pregnancy, but I lost 35 pounds when I was having morning sickness. When I finally started gaining weight again I packed on the pounds and my belly got huge. I'm sure if I hadn't been so sick I'd be big too! Hang in there momma. Your bump is beaitiful, your family is being rude, and I hope you get to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy without them picking on you!

I've gained back 5lbs and am still down 10lbs+ at 29 weeks. Everyone is telling me I'm HUGE! I'm sorry your hear this too, it hurts. I'm an a****** though and usually say at least I have a reason and give them the up and down b!tch face.

Each pregnancy is different. With my second one I ballooned up. Like 50lbs worth. Don't listen to them, they aren't your doctor. If you're doctor is OK with your weight then keep doing what you're doing. You know your body better than anyone. ☺
