@luna thanks. I will definitely ask how can I help instead of what's wrong. I feel like they wouldn't like it if I asked what's wrong.
Personally I wouldn't want someone to ask me what's wrong, the whole issue with depression is that usually, there isn't anything wrong at all. Everything in my life is fine, but yet I still feel like everything is falling apart. Asking me what's wrong is frustrating because I don't have an answer for that, and it makes me feel like my feelings aren't valid unless I have a reason. Everyone is different though, you know this person much better. I would personally like it if people asked "what can I do to help you?" Or "can I come over to hang out?" Sometimes, all you need is to know that someone cares, that someone gives a s*** about you and you're not alone in the world
Thanks so much for all this advice. I will definitely be there for them and help them through it. I wasn't sure if when someone feels that way they want to talk about it or not. But I will definitely show them that I'm there for them.
I wish I had people that would check on me like that ? since I had kids no one talks to me anymore and whenever I'm depressed or try to tell SO (currently not together partially due to this reason) he just gets POed and tells me to stop by bullsh!t and grow up...like thanks dude...only thing keeping me here are my babies. I've been trying to push everything to the back of my mind and not think about any of it but it's hard. On top of this my mom attempted to kill herself Sunday night. No idea why. She's still inches hospital and doesn't have her phone and no one has updated me other than she's being evaluated and don't know how long she'll be there. Sorry I kinda stole the post it's just it really hit me and ivr been dealing with this really terribly the last few days
