Brushing teeth? My son has three teeth and he is EBF and started foods. Am I supposed to be brushing his teeth?

No problem I worked in pediatric dentistry so I always give out information when I can!

The brand we always used was Den trust. You can buy the soft one or the one that is designed for "special needs" it's a little bit smaller and has fun colors since they don't make a category for a child. They are pretty universal..

Also Nuk has one that's just rubber tips, it's a life saver for teething!

Yes! The second you see a tooth it needs to be brushed, milk has sugar and so do foods. There will be plaque on the little tooth.

We always recommend doing it before bed just a quick swipe of the brush of course no tooth paste.

Edit: The banana is great for baby to chew it will remove some plaque but you need to use an actual baby brush when you do it.

They actually make a 3 sided toothbrush so it gets all sides of that interests you! Makes it easier for little ones. You should be able to find it online easy.

We use aquafresh milk teeth toothbrush and toothpaste (just plain mint). I literally just smear a tiny bit on the brush, especially since he doesn't even have a proper tooth yet lol. But after the initial taste he loves it :)

What are you guys using?

I brush dd's.

I use the banana training tooth brush/teether but just add water on the bristles. Not sure if its enough though...dd can play with it as well and it brushes/massages.

We started brushing as soon as it broke through the surface - may have started earlier had we actually known he was teething lol
