Yaay thanks! If it's an easy fuse etc I'd much rather try and do it ourselves. I'm planning to sell this in October so I'd really love to not put too much money into it right now. Overall this is the first problem we've had with it in the year we've had it.
If it helps any a few days before this started the gas ding went a little wonky. It used to ding once when it was low but suddenly it started dinging excessively and sounded off and the only way to stop it was to get gas. Then the light thing started.
Have them look at that. My car did that and my battery would die from the lights coming on and off at night. My car alarm which I didn't know I had kept coming on too. I had to unplug my battery so it doesn't drain. I had it changed since I didn't feel like doing it. ?
